Tack Bloon

Sprite of the Tack Bloon in the Flash version of Bloons Super Monkey 2

Tack Bloons (Holly Bloons in Bloons Festive Fun) are recurring Bloons that first appeared in the original riginal Bloons. They shoot out 8 tacks in a circle when popped, allowing them to pop other nearby Bloons. The Bloons series depicts them as pink-colored Bloons with a tack symbol (replaced with holly leaves in Bloons Festive Fun and Bloons 2 Christmas Expansion and a rose in Bloons 2 Spring Fling), while Bloons Supermonkey 2 depicts them as gray-colored Bloons covered in spikes.

Gameplay

Bloons series

Tack Bloons shoot 8 tacks around them when popped. Each tack can pop one Bloon, and they can create chain reactions if they hit other Tack Bloons or Bomb Bloons. In the iOS version of Bloons and Bloons Festive Fun, tacks can pop frozen Bloons, but in other games in the series, they cannot.

Bloons Pop Three

Tack Bloons are one of four special Bloons. They pop all Bloons orthogonally and diagonally adjacent to them when popped.

Bloons Supermonkey 2

Tack Bloons only appear in Bloon Dunes Stage 4 in the Flash version. When popped, they shoot darts in eight directions, damaging other Bloons nearby. They otherwise behave the same as Red Bloons. They go unused in the mobile version.
