Door Gunner is a Military Monkey Knowledge upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants Special Poperations an Activated Ability that allows it to pick up and carry one tower for an indefinite amount of time. The carried tower continues attacking while inside the Heli, but the player cannot select it or activate its abilities. Selling the Heli Pilot while it is carrying a tower also sells the tower it carries. The player can use the ability again at any time to place the tower at a valid location, similar to its Redeploy ability. The player cannot use the Heli Pilot's Redeploy ability while it carries a tower. It shares its ability cooldown and initial cooldown with its Redeploy ability, so using one puts the other on cooldown. It is usable during the break between rounds.
Door Gunner is also available in Rogue Legends as an item in the Rogue XP Shop, costing 1,500 Rogue XP to unlock.
Ineligible towers
Door Gunner cannot pick up the following towers:
- All tier 5 towers
- All Heroes
- Monkey Aces
- Heli Pilots
- Banana Farms
- Monkey Villages
- Beast Handlers
- Aircraft Carriers
- Sun Temples
- Paragons
- Most sub-towers
- Unlike Redeploy, the Door Gunner ability can pick up some sub-towers including Master Builder's Sentry Paragons (not the modified ones) and the totems of Symphonic Resonance and The Final Harmonic.

Engineer Monkeys now place Sentries directly below the Heli when used as Door Gunners - Note: This indirectly fixes a bug where Engineer Monkeys would place Sentries near their original position

Trivia
- Door Gunner was the result of persistent requests by a Design Co-Lead for Bloons TD 6, Zach, to add a feature related to a bug in a pre-release build of BTD6 that locks a tower onto the helicopter if placed too close to the Heli Pilot's pad.[1]
