Introduced Launch

Gwendolin is a Hero in Bloons TD Battles 2. She is unlocked at the start of the game, provided the player taps her tab on the Heroes menu to unlock her.

Gwendolin's basic attack shoots fireballs that deal fire-type damage to up to 3 Bloons per shot, and deal extra damage to Lead Bloon and Frozen Bloons. She cannot damage Purple Bloons and cannot detect Camo Bloons. As she levels up, her attack gains more pierce and damage and shoots more projectiles at a time, plus a variety of buffs and special attacks:

  • Starting at level 4, her attack occasionally triggers a burst of fire around her that damages Bloons in an area and temporarily buffs towers within her range, granting them extra pierce, bonus damage to Frozen Bloons, and allow all affected towers to damage and do more damage to Lead Bloons.
  • Starting at level 5, she passively buffs the attack speed and projectile radius of all Wizard Monkeys with Dragon's Breath, Tack Shooters with Ring of Fire, and Mortar Monkeys with Signal Flare.
  • Starting at level 6, her attack inflicts an effect on Bloons that deals fire-type damage over time for a few seconds.
  • She has two activated abilities:
    • Cocktail of Fire (level 3) - She throws a cocktail on a custom-selected location to quickly damage bloons that pass through it, except Purples (until Level 16+).
    • Firestorm: (level 10) - Damages all non-Purple Bloons (until Level 16+, where she can burn Purples) and sets them on fire, and applies a global Heat It Up that provides extra damage to every tower.

Pyro gun

Gwen's main attack, generaly decent. It starts out weak, but gets decent later in. I'm writing this as a Gwen main.

Heat it up

Always wanted a tack shooter on steroids? Thats a ring of fire tack shooter that attacks much slower. Deals extra damege to Lead and Frozen bloons.

Abilities

Cocktail of Fire

Cocktail of Fire is unlocked at level 3. It places a Wall of Fire-like projectile on the track that rapidly deals fire damage to Bloons that pass over it. It hits every 0.24 seconds and can hit up to 26 Bloons at a time. It deals +1 damage to Frozen and +1 to Lead properties. It lasts for 12 seconds, and expires early if it can't pop a Purple Bloon. The cocktail's landing point can be set to anywhere within Gwendolin's range using the targeting option, even behind line of sight blockers. It has a 45-second cooldown and starts with a 7.5-second cooldown.

Starting from level 14, cocktail damage increases to 2 per tick, and applies a burn to MOAB-class Bloons that deals 5 damage every 1 second for up to 10 seconds. Starting from level 16, cocktail naturally pops Purple.

Firestorm

Firestorm is unlocked at level 10. When activated, it instantly deals damage to all non-Purple bloons on screen, sets affected bloons on fire, and all friendly towers gain the Heat It Up buff plus another +1 damage, +1 Lead damage, and +1 Frozen damage. The fire deals 1 damage every 0.5s to bloons, and more damage every 1s to MOAB-class. Her Firestorm improves with levels. It has a 60-second cooldown and has no initial cooldown.

Levels

Level Description
1 Blasts bloons with fire from her pyro gun, dealing extra damage to lead and frozen Bloons.
2 Slightly increased popping power per shot.
3 Cocktail of Fire: Hurls a flask of flammable liquid, burning bloons that pass through the fire.
4 Heat it up - Every few seconds creates a powerful blast wave of fire that pops bloons and adds fire to nearby Monkeys' attacks, doing extra damage to lead and frozen bloons.
5 Increased popping power. 15% improved attack speed and radius for Ring of Fire, Signal Flare and Dragon's Breath.
6 Attacks cause a burn effect on target bloon.
7 Heat it up has increased radius.
8 Shoots 2 blasts of fire per shot.
9 Initial hit per blast pops 1 extra layer.
10 Firestorm: Sets the whole screen alight, burning all Bloons and granting the Heat It Up buff and extra damage to all Monkeys.
11 Increased attack range.
12 Increased attack speed.
13 Greatly increased popping power, plus projectiles move faster and last longer.
14 Cocktail of Fire does extra damage and sets MOAB class Bloons alight.
15 Increased attack speed.
16 Firestorm has increased duration. Purple bloons are no longer immune to Gwendolin's attacks
17 Heat it up empowers affected Monkeys to pop 1 extra layer, and do +2 damage to lead and frozen Bloons.
18 Increased attack speed. 30% improved attack speed and radius for Ring of Fire, Signal Flare and Dragon's Breath.
19 Shoots 3 blasts of fire per shot.
20 Firestorm does hugely increased damage.

Tips:

Gwen can't solo early game, especially if your opponent sends red bloons, due to its poor pierce. Another tower like a 0-0-0 tack shooter can fix that.

Gwen's fire storm ability damages purple bloons, for some reason. It can be good if you opponent sends a rush of camo purples or camo leads , especially if you have poor camo detection.

Gwen can serve as a Acid Dip alchemy monkey with Heat It up, as it makes towers close to it able to pop Leads.
