Sunken Columns is an Advanced map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 30.0. It takes place on a formation of columnar jointed basalt fractures. It is based on Basalt Columns from Bloons TD Battles 2.

Layout

Sunken Columns has 2 lanes. One lane moves from the top-middle-left to the top-right before exiting at the bottom-middle-left, while the other lane moves from the top-middle-right to the top-left to the bottom-middle-right. The two basalt depressions in the middle are at a much lower elevation, blocking the line-of-sight of most towers placed there completely with the exception of the 4 narrow river strips. There is one pond on each of the depressions, and each can be drained for $1,000 when no water towers are placed on them.

Strategy

Sunken Columns is a slightly easier-than-average Advanced map, thanks to the large bends at the top and the bottom where both paths intersect and many towers can do solid damage. Most strategies on Sunken Columns involve specifically taking advantage of these sections of the map, placing limited-range towers there and maximizing their damage.

Name Portrait Reasoning
Sauda   The bends where the lanes overlap greatly boost Sauda's capability on Sunken Columns. The power of her Sword Charge is greatly amplified by its ability damage Bloons and blimps in the overlaps multiple times. Her main attack gains good coverage at the bending intersections, and when coupled with stuns such as Relentless Glue and Super Glue, deals solid damage to both Bloons and blimps.
Glaive Lord   Glaive Lord's rotating glaives gain solid coverage when placed near an intersection, wiping out low-tier blimps and Super Ceramics with ease. In addition, the ricocheting glaives can bounce repeatedly due to the Bloons spawning at separated entrances, dealing massive damage and wiping out most late-game rounds with ease in combination with the rotating glaives.
Super Glue   The relatively short length of the intersecting portions of the track make Super Glue vital to keep Bloons and blimps there for towers to take care of. Super Glue's splat stun massive amounts of Bloons and blimps, effectively permanently locking many of them in place. It pairs especially well with Sauda, who deals tremendously increased damage to Bloons and blimps stunned by Super Glue with both her main attack and abilities.
