Geraldo (or Gerry) is a monkey character in Bloons TD 6 and Bloons Card Storm. A traveling merchant, mystic, and adventurer, Geraldo collects and sells a variety of strange items from across the world.

Gameplay

Geraldo is a Hero in Bloons TD 6 who was introduced in version 31.0. He provides access to Geraldo's Shop, an interface that allows the player to purchase consumable items for cash, and he unlocks more items and improves existing items as he levels up. He has a staff that he uses to attack nearby Bloons with magic.

Other appearances

Geraldo appears when visiting a Merchant tile in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. He is also the face of the Tokens that the player trades with merchants.

Geraldo appears besides the General Store in Sandytown in the Frontier Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6, but unlike most Heroes he cannot be played as an equipped Hero in the Sheriff's Posse.

Geraldo appears in the Daily Deals section of the store and in the card art for Favored Trade in Bloons Card Storm.

General information

Appearance

Geraldo has brown fur, tan skin, and dark blue eyes with dark brown hair. He also has a prominent dark brown handlebar mustache, which usually obscures his mouth when closed. He wears a light blue, white and yellow-striped headband, a red poncho with a yellow trim, sky blue pants held up with a brown belt with a circular golden buckle, and a large turquoise backpack slightly taller and wider than him, filled with his various wares. In Bloons TD 6, his appearance changes as he levels up:

• At level 3, he gains a pair of gold earrings, a sky blue tank top and a stick on the back of his backpack carrying a lantern.
• At level 7, he gains a strip of white cloth with a red trim on his shirt that reaches to his knees.
• At level 10, his backpack becomes significantly larger (gaining a dark yellow midsection) and the light blue sections of his headband are changed to dark blue.
• At level 20, he gains a green emblem on his headband, the yellow stripe on his headband becomes orange, his poncho has yellow fringe and is split in two, gaining dark blue sleeves with gold cuffs, his belt buckle gains an engraving of a bunch of bananas, he gains two additional pairs of gold earrings, and he grows a short, pointed beard.

Personality and traits

Geraldo is a fair and easygoing merchant, though very knowledgeable on important marketing concepts like supply and demand – although he has somewhere close to several days' worth of stock at any given time, he keeps his wares scarce, as "scarcity is a key component of value". He may be of Spanish heritage, as his name is a traditional masculine name in Spanish culture and he has two voice lines in Spanish.

Although he has been stated to be a traveling merchant, one of his voice lines implies he is unfamiliar with MOAB-Class Bloons.

• His most frequent customers are Dart Monkeys.
• His four bunnies are named Hopsy, Flopsy, Button and Dave. They are only available on loan. He has not named their merged form yet, which Ninja Kiwi speculate is due to worries of "choosing the wrong name".
• He has considered rubbing the Genie Bottle he sells at least once, but decided doing so would be "bad business".
• He either pays the most bills and taxes out of every Hero, or he does not pay them at all.
• He has a vast network of fellow shopkeepers he keeps in contact with, mainly sharing information about the latest popular items.
• At several points, he convinced suppliers that were overcharging him for stock to charge fair prices with just "a good chat".
• He insists pickle juice is a good mustache grooming accessory, which may not be a popular opinion with his mustachioed peers.
• He would never sell his wares to Bloons, unless they offer a good enough trade.
• While Geraldo does tease Captain Churchill for his interest in anime and manga, he will still try to get Churchill limited edition models.
• He is the worst Hero at Fortnite.
• He has at least six headbands. He wants to collect one of every color.
• When not selling or searching for his various products, he enjoys solitaire, upcycling, looking after his bunnies, reading, finding objects for his additional private collection and looking through his travel photos.
• His store has a "no returns" policy, especially in regards to his bunnies.
• Of all the Heroes (including Striker Jones), Geraldo is the best baker.
• If Geraldo were a standard tower, he would probably be Support-class.
• He tamed his bunnies using "a lot of carrots and patience".
• Sometime before becoming a traveling merchant, he worked at a supermarket.
• He holds the world record for most consecutive days sporting the most pristine mustache.
• Most of the capes he sells are genuine used Super Monkey capes damaged from battle.
• He enjoys traditional Spanish and Portuguese cooking, being especially fond of pastel de nata.
• His name is pronounced "Heraldo", but he doesn't mind if his name is pronounced the wrong way.
• He gets the pickles in his Jars of Pickles from his local farmer's market. He snacks on them from time to time.
• He only accepts donations if they benefit the monkeys on the battlefield.
• He stores all his gear in his backpack, with it being appropriately heavy.
• Geraldo has a few employees, though he prefers doing most of the ground work himself.
