Obyn Greenfoot is a monkey character who debuted in Bloons TD 6. He is a forest guardian who attacks Bloons with wolf spirits and other facets of nature.
Gameplay
Obyn Greenfoot is a Hero who pops Bloons with piercing wolf spirits. He also serves a versatile support role, buffing Magic monkeys (especially Druids), slowing Bloons with his Nature's Ward Totem, and generating money by absorbing Bloons in his Wall of Trees. He is relatively cheap and levels up quickly.
Obyn is a Hero unlocked by completing level 12. Every time he hits a Bloon, he summons homing wolf spirits, and once more when he expires.
Obyn is a Hero that facilitates a more defensive play style, creating free but low-damage Wolf cards and passively granting himself a shield. He does still summon wolf spirits himself, but requires full bloontonium while also rewarding gold.
General information
Appearance
Obyn Greenfoot has blue fur that fades to light green around the extremes of his fur, pale grey-lavender skin, green hands, purple feet, green irises, and black pupils (with Obyn being one of the few characters in the series with irises and pupils). He wears brown wraps around his hands and a pair of brown sandals. He additionally has a pair of branches resembling antlers emerging from the sides of his head. In Bloons TD 6 and Battles 2, his appearance changes as he levels up:
- At level 3, he grows leaves from his arms and his branches grow slightly.
- At level 10, he gains a small wooden helmet and all of his leaves gain a bright blue glow.
- At level 20, he grows full bushes from his branches, he grows leaves on his shoulders, his helmet covers his whole head except his face, and his hands glow a bright blue.
In "The Story of Monkeys vs Bloons", he appears much younger, and his antlers are saplings instead of branches.
Personality and traits
Obyn is a completely serious and assertive monkey, being very in tune with nature. He does not have many known interests outside of nature, but his alternate skins show that he embodies multiple elements of it, such as the ocean. He speaks with a British English accent.

- Obyn sleeps in a flower bed.[3]
- Obyn enjoys eating oranges in the shower.[4]
- Obyn shed a tear when first witnessing the Bloon Solver, with him appreciating their ridding the environment of Bloon waste.[5]
- Obyn could turn into an Ice Monkey if he wanted to, but doesn't feel the need to thanks to his mastery of nature.[6]
- Obyn frequently goes out on forest walks playing Pikmin Bloom.[7]
- Obyn sometimes has spiders show up in his house, but he doesn't mind. He has named two of them Steve and Tom.[8]
- Obyn's morning routine involves going on a walk with his guardians.[9] He probably eats Froot Loops for breakfast.[10]
- If Obyn were to find a small animal that would grow into an extremely large one, he would raise it and assimilate it into life in the woods.[11]
- Obyn eats bananas and presumably other foods through osmosis, which is a very slow process.[12]
- Obyn often pesters Agent Jericho to adopt a wolf spirit.[13]
- Obyn's pet wolf spirit, Fluffy,[14] is not undead, being a spirit of nature.[15]
- The spirits of the forest get annoyed at Obyn awakening them constantly.[16]
- If Obyn were a standard tower, he would be Magic-class.[17]
- Obyn personally ensures that Military-class monkeys only use technology made from sustainable materials.[18]
- Obyn rightfully supervises Gwendolin whenever she visits the forests.[19]
- Two possible explanations for Obyn not gaining camo detection himself when giving it to Druids are either his power simply just granting it to other Druids or he actually gains the camo detection but chooses to ignore the Camo Bloons "to make the other monkeys look good".[20]
- Obyn and Corvus aren't related, but they bicker "like brothers do".[21]
- Obyn's alternate skins were the result of the Sun God bestowing a new status as guardian of the ocean/mountains.[22]
- Ocean Obyn was crucial to recruiting the Mermonkeys to fight the Bloons, being one of the few monkeys to have visited Monklantis.[23]
Cultural references
- His last name, Greenfoot, is a reference to the phrase "green thumb" (which he also has), which is an idiom referring to one's skill with gardening.
