Projectile-Go-Round is an Experiment Quest in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 48.0. In this Quest, each time a tower fires a projectile, it is replaced with the main projectile of a random tower on the map (which can include itself). Additionally, all projectiles can bounce off the edges of the map and their lifespans are increased by 60% (equivalent to having Added Preservatives Legendary in Rogue Legends). The "retry last round" option is allowed.

editThe general strategy for Projectile-Go-Round involves pairing a tower with a fast attack speed and/or many projectiles per shot with one or more towers with high power projectiles. Dartling Gunners are a particularly effective choice for the former, as they have global range and never stop attacking while being extremely cheap. Full Auto Rifle or Elite Defender make for good replacements later in the game. Examples of towers with effective projectiles include Spiked Balls and its upgrades, The Big One and The Biggest One, and Primary Expertise. Monkey Villages are recommended to support your towers, as they provide buffs without diluting the projectile pool.
Due to pickups from Banana Farms counting as projectiles, farming is extremely potent in this quest. Pairing farms with towers that fire many projectiles can produce incredible amounts of cash very quickly. When farming, prioritize upgrades that increase the value of each pickup, such as Valuable Bananas and Banana Research Facility. Crates from a Monkeyopolis are likewise considered projectiles. Farming will allow you to afford towers with extremely powerful projectiles, such as Super Mines or a Paragon, to trivialize the rest of the quest.
An effective strategy for early game is to pair a 0-2-0 Dartling Gunner with a 2-0-0 Spike Factory, and aim the Dartling Gunner at the end of the active lane. The Spike Factory can then be upgraded to Spiked Balls, and Banana Farms can be added to the mix if extra income is desired.
General tips
edit- It is worth remembering that, when the game is choosing which projectile to fire, it chooses from available towers, not from available projectiles. In other words, placing more of the same tower will make that tower's projectile more likely to be fired.
- A projectile receives buffs from the tower that it comes from and not the tower that fired it. For example, a MOAB Mauler projectile will not be able to hit Camo Bloons unless the MOAB Mauler tower is given external Camo detection, even if the tower firing the projectile is able to see Camo.
- Only a tower's main projectile is able to be given to other towers. Secondary projectiles, such as a Ballistic Missile's missile attack, Inferno Ring's meteor, or Grape Shot's grapes will not be fired by other towers. However, these secondary attacks are able to have their projectiles replaced.
