Added Preservatives is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 48.0. It increases the lifespan of projectiles and causes them to bounce off of map borders. Higher rarity versions increase projectile lifespan further.
It is recommended to pair this Artifact with buffs to the projectile lifespan and speed as they will allow the projectiles to travel further and remain for longer on the screen to increase the chances that they reach a Bloon before expiring. Examples of anti-synergy include Heightened Perception and Slower Is Harder, and in the other side, it benefits from Quickening Artifacts and Boosts and Artifacts like Hawk's Eye. It is also recommended to have Bouncing Projectiles to also allow projectiles to bounce from obstacles and map objects, although the map bouncing benefit is redundant with the Legendary version of the Artifact, but the lifespan increase makes it still worth it. This Artifact doesn't affect projectiles that instantly reach their target like the ones from Sniper Monkeys.
