Wall of Fire Monkey is MagicMonkeycard in Bloons Card Storm. It is a defender that gains +5 ATK during the opponent's turn. Additionally, when it is played, it sets the Bloon at the front of the opponent's Bloon track On Fire.
The card artwork depicts a Wall of Fire Monkey doing a bold stance towards a thick blaze. The monkey holding its right arm forwards, and its right glove is glowing. The sky is dark, illuminated by the blaze. The in-game model shows the Wall of Fire Monkey holding an orb of fire if the monkey has ammo.
The placeholder card artwork depicts a Wall of Fire Monkey sitting on a log, holding a blaze over its right hand.
Unlike most Defenders, Wall of Fire Monkey has 1 delay. However, its Defender bonus is fairly significant. Against a Bloon that will leak next turn, it is recommended to use the Defender bonus, otherwise just use its attack every turn (except if anticipating a 0 delay Bloon such as a Pink Bloon or an OTK combo).
For 1 more Gold, Wall of Fire Monkey does 10 less damage than Mine Supervisor, if not counting the Defender bonus, while having no long-term utility. The burst of On Fire is decent versus a single slow-moving Bloon, but not much else. It can synergize with Gwendolin, however other cards that can set things on fire are almost always better.
Against early singular targets, Burny Stuff Mortar is better for applying On Fire, while Fireball Wizard is better midgame because it can apply On Fire to any Bloon more than once. Both have better damage per turn than Wall of Fire as well.
The On Play ability affecting the first Bloon in line often means the fire will not affect high delay Bloons if there are any Bloons other than high delay Bloons on the track.
With the defender bonus and on play effect, it can pop Blooming Bloon even if boosted by Zee Jay's Passive Awesomeness ability but not if shielded by Amelia's Bloon Shield.
Having up to 70 damage per turn but very low burst damage and being vulnerable to Whoops, Wall of Fire Monkey is a mediocre anti aggro card with no anti tempo value.
Wall of Fire Monkey was buffed in Version 6.4, but not in the way that was expected due to how few reworks that were able to be implemented for the update.[1] Instead, its Defender bonus was increased to give more reasons to take advantage of that bonus, and just "a little bit better of a tower overall".[1] +20 instead of +30 was proposed initially, but was upped to the final amount because it "still sucked".[2] The original rework, while not stated in OdysseyTOS's tester commentary, was meant to be to change the On Play effect to On Turn End.
