RAPID (short for Razor Air Performance Improving Drone[1]) is a Basic Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. It is immobile and starts with 50 Shield. At the start of each of the player's turns, it reduces the delay of the last Bloon in the player's Bloon track that does not have the immobile property (including itself) by 1. Only one copy of this card can be in the Collection.

Tips

  • RAPID is a cheaper alternative to using conventional delay reducers (especially Quick Ready) and can reduce delay of bloons gradually, but is limited to the bloons at the back of the queue and is vulnerable to burst damage and powerful board clears.
    • As a Zee Jay aggro player, having the Rad Bloon with a RAPID can help push that Bloon while the opponent may struggle with many one-delay Bloons.
  • Because the RAPID cannot target Bloons that are Immobile, a RAPID could be paired with multiple other Immobile Bloons such as ARBITR and extra RAPIDs (via Double Trouble, or stolen RAPID from Bloon Redirect).
  • RAPID's delay reduction effect occurs after the Storm, making it a viable option on early Storm Bloons such as the Yellow, Ceramic, and MOAB. Elsewhere, the delay reduction is only effective for 2 or more delay Bloons.
  • Protecting RAPID can quickly cause the game to snowball in your favor if the opponent cannot effectively respond to it. It is best saved in your hand until it will immediately get value by the next turn, as the opponent will likely prioritize popping it.

Trivia

  • RAPID was the first ever Unique Basic Bloon to be released in Bloons Card Storm.
