Psi is a character that first appeared in Bloons TD 6. They are a "psionic" monkey child whose main strengths rest in their mind.

Gameplay

Psi is a Hero who uses telekinesis to destroy individual Bloons from the inside. Relative to other Heroes, they level up slowly.

General information

Appearance

Psi is a very short monkey with orange fur, light tan skin, silver eyes (usually half-lidded), and jieba scars on their head and arms. They wear burgundy attire, which includes a scarf, robe and pants. They are usually seen hovering above a small, blue flower-shaped meditation mat surrounded by burning incense sticks. In Bloons TD 6, their appearance changes as they level up:

• At level 3, they close their eyes completely, the jieba scars on their head glow yellow, and they gain a yellow outline along their hands.
• At level 8, their scarf is replaced with one that is dark turquoise in color, and they gain a burgundy blindfold.
• At level 9, they change their position into an open-handed one.
• At level 10, their blindfold turns blue, their mat turns into a deeper shade of blue, their incense sticks are replaced with small candles, and the glow of their hands and the five jieba scars on their forehead are changed into a light blue glow. Their scarf is also replaced with a cape that retains its color scheme.
• At level 17, they change position so that both hands are open.
• At level 20, their fur becomes bright blue, their skin dark blue, their eyes completely white, their cape and robe shades of very light blue, and their candles are replaced with turquoise flames without a visible source. They additionally lose the blindfold.

Psi is very calm and composed on the battlefield, with raising their voice being a very rare occurrence and almost nothing being able to annoy, scare, or anger them; indeed, Psi has been implied by Ninja Kiwi to have understood that fear is merely a state of mind. They also tend to speak philosophically, such as comparing popped MOAB-Class Bloons to crumbling mountains, or stating "you cannot have light without darkness" upon noticing a DDT.

Psi has a noted love of percussion instruments, being present in their Psimbals skin and mentioned occasionally in blog posts.

Psimbals is their marching band counterpart. They begin with a pair of cymbals, and gains additional musical instruments as they level up.

Dreamstate Psi

Dreamstate Psi wears white pajamas with yellow stars and moon patterns, and increasingly evolves into a master of dreams.

Qīnglóng Xiūshì Língjī

Qīnglóng Xiūshì Língjī (青龙修士灵机, lit. "Azure Dragon Monk Psi") is a Hero Skin for Psi exclusive to the Chinese version of Bloons TD 6.

• They have "the ultimate power of mind."
• They have a fear of Quincy's "playing the vuvuzela in the middle of the night." When he plays the instrument, they grab their drum kit.
• Their psychic powers do not prevent them from having a normal childhood, though they once had a habit of reading their friends' minds. Psi stopped reading minds after reading Pat Fusty's mind and seeing Pat "in a tutu chasing butterflies across the top of a ginormous banana cream pie".
• They have been implied to have spent a lot of money on plushies, and would easily spend more on them if given the chance.
• They discovered their powers as a toddler by accident when they moved their toys with their mind.
• Doing their homework is very important to them, as expanding their knowledge is essential for their journey towards enlightenment.
• Their favorite food has been implied to be dino nuggets, preferring any restaurant that sells them.
• They are the best Hero at Fortnite.
• They participate in the local community marching band, which may be the origin for their Psimbals setup.
• They enjoy playfully stealing other Heroes' food.
• They meditate twice a day. They once tried getting Pat to meditate with them, but he fell asleep. Pat still enjoyed the experience, however.
• Psi is good friends with Sai, whom they got to know via their names being pronounced the same.
• They used some leftover money from the war on Bloons to help fund new instruments for their local marching band.
• Benjammin' has sampled some of their music.
• They use their hands, feet and occasionally tail to eat cereal, but never their mind.
• They speak multiple languages.
• Their favorite video game is The Witness.
• Their favorite Avatar: The Last Airbender character is Sokka.
• Psi keeps various knick-knacks under their bed that they use to practice their telekinesis.
• Dreamstate Psi dreams about concepts ranging from math exams to "lemurs and bison fighting together in epic samurai duels", among others.
