Rarity Rare Equippable to Special Equipped character's weapon will receive bonuses as if the character was 1 star level higher than they really are. The Monkey Academy Degree is a Rare trinket in Bloons Adventure Time TD. It increases the effective Star level of the equipped weapon by 1, potentially increasing that weapon's stat buffs. It has no effect on Glob's Sword or the Jingle Bomb.

Tips

• Early on with a lack of other options, this can be used to reach a specfic threshold for an equipped weapon to provide a valuable buff, such as using it on a Lightning Bolts or Wand of Dispersement on a level 7 character to gain the additional bonus damage. However, this is very niche as other options can outperform the buff, such as Heart Gauntlets also providing speed or Demon Heart having even more damage.
• A noteworthy use case in the late game, although again outclassed, is reaching an effective 12 star character with Marceline and Jake with their Bass Expert and I'm The Musical One also providing the same effect as this trinket, increasing the weapon's star level by 1, providing additional damage for them when they equip Devil Monster Bass or The Lover.
  • Tuxedo Jake's Full Orchestra provides an additional 3 star levels which also renders this quirk redundant, if one is using both Tux Jake and the specified character.
