Frozen Over is a Beginner map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 5.0. It is a frozen river with several Bloons and a Cave Monkey frozen in the ice.

Layout

Bloons enter at the left side of the screen and cross through various sharp turns and loops on their way to the exit on the right side. Towers can be placed on the ice, the various bodies of water, and on the icebergs between the paths if they are small- to medium-sized (such as Dart Monkeys and Boomerang Monkeys). There is a high-elevation cliff at the top, and at its widest section in the middle-left, a Monkey Village or Super Monkey can be placed.

Strategy

Frozen Over is one of the easiest maps in BTD6, thanks to its long track, abundance of good spots, and abundance of loops. It can be beaten easily with general guidelines found below.

Towers and upgrades that pull ahead specifically on Frozen Over are listed below.

Name Portrait Reasoning
Overdrive   There is an extreme abundance of loops, Overdrive's optimal placements, on this map. Place it as close to the top of a loop as possible, as the kill zone, where all tacks hit Bloons, is right above the tower's position. Berserker Brew and Geraldo greatly enhance its power.
Glaive Lord   There are a lot of loops on this track, where the spining glaives can hit most of the bloons. If you place it to the left of the central water spot it can also hit most of the map.

Easter egg

  • Players can free the Cave Monkey by hitting the ice above it with Mortar Monkey shells 30 times. Once released, it jumps out of the ice and lands on a random area near the entrance of the track. In Co-op, it becomes owned by the lowest-numbered active player (i.e. player 1, unless that player quits).
