Pat Fusty is a Hero in Bloons TD Battles 2, introduced in version 1.7. He costs  5,000 Monkey Money to unlock.

Pat attacks by slamming Bloons within his range with his fists, dealing damage in an area around each target. He does more damage to the target and extra to Ceramic Bloons. He cannot detect Camo Bloons. Starting at level 5, he periodically does a slap instead, which knocks Bloons back. As he levels up, his range, damage, and attack speed increase, he does more damage to Ceramic Bloons and MOAB-Class Bloons, and his slams stun Bloons briefly. He is treated as a Primary tower by Primary Training, Primary Mentoring, and Primary Expertise. He has two Activated Abilities:

  • Rallying Roar (level 3) — Increases the damage of all nearby towers, and increases the attack speed of all nearby Primary towers, for a short time. At higher levels, he buffs damage more and also allows affected towers to damage all Bloon types.
  • Big Squeeze (level 10) — Grabs the strongest non-BAD MOAB-Class Bloon nearby and crushes it, destroying its outer layer and stunning its children, which takes a few seconds and stops him from attacking or using Rallying Roar. It also buffs the damage of nearby towers for a short time. At level 20, he can grab six MOAB-Class Bloons at once, takes less time to crush them, and buffs nearby towers' damage more.

Mechanics

Slam attack

Pat Fusty's attack slams a target Bloon within range every 1.1 seconds, which generates area of effect around the target. The slam deals 3 unstoppable-type damage to the target and +2 damage if it is a Ceramic Bloon, while the area of effect deals 2 unstoppable-type damage, +2 to Ceramic Bloons, and can hit up to 8 Bloons at a time. Both the slam and the area of effect can hit the target at the same time. The slam can only hit the target and its pierce cannot be buffed, but the area of effect's pierce can. The attack cannot target or hit Camo Bloons.

2 AoE radius increases from 10 units to 15 units.
4 Attack cooldown reduces to 0.9 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by roughly 22.2%.
6 AoE radius increases to 22 units. Both the slam and the AoE now stun non-MOAB-Class Bloons hit for 0.45 seconds.
7 Slam damage increases to 4. AoE damage increases to 3. AoE pierce increases to 12.
8 Range increases from 24 units to 27 units.
9 Attack cooldown reduces to 0.75 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by 20%.
11 Slam damage increases to 6. AoE damage increases to 5.
12 Attack cooldown reduces to 0.65 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by roughly 15.4%.
13 Both the slam and the AoE now stun regular Bloons for 0.5 seconds and MOAB-Class Bloons for 0.2 seconds.
16 Range increases to 29 units. Both the slam and the AoE now deal +5 damage to Ceramic Bloons and +5 damage to MOAB-Class Bloons.
17 Attack cooldown reduces to 0.4 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by roughly 62.5%.
18 AoE pierce increases to 22.
19 Slam damage increases to 16. AoE damage increases to 15.

Slap attack

Starting at level 5, Pat does a backhand slap instead of a slam on every fifth attack. The slap works similarly to a slam, dealing 3 unstoppable-type damage to the target and +2 damage if it is a Ceramic, but the area of effect it generates inflicts knockback on up to 6 Bloons instead of dealing damage. The knockback causes Bloons to move backwards at twice their speed for 1 second, but it cannot knock back BFBs or above.

Interactions with Monkey Villages

Although Pat Fusty is not a Primary tower, he receives additional buffs from Primary Training, Primary Mentoring, and Primary Expertise like a Primary tower. He is affected by their range, pierce, and Activated Ability cooldown buffs in the same way as Primary towers, but instead of getting free upgrades, Primary Mentoring increases the XP he earns at the start of each round by 40%, while Primary Expertise increases it by 80%.

Abilities

Rallying Roar

Rallying Roar is unlocked at level 3. It applies a buff to all towers within 35 distance units of Pat, including himself, for 7 seconds. It grants +1 damage to affected towers and +20% attack speed to Primary towers. It has a 50-second cooldown and a 12-second initial cooldown.

14 Radius increases to 40 units. Damage modifier increases to +3. Duration increases to 12.5 seconds.

Big Squeeze

Big Squeeze is unlocked at level 10. It causes Pat to grab the strongest MOAB-Class Bloon within 35 distance units and crush its outer layer, which takes 3.8 seconds. While being crushed, the target Bloon is untargetable by all towers, immune to all damage, and unable to collide with any projectiles. He cannot grab BADs and requires a Camo detection buff to grab DDTs. Once crushed, the Bloon's children are stunned for 2 seconds. Additionally, for 6.5 seconds, all towers within his range gain a +3 damage buff. Pat cannot attack or use Rallying Roar for 4.5 seconds after activation. It has a 30-second cooldown and no initial cooldown.

At level 20, it grabs the six strongest Bloons within range instead of one, takes 1.8 seconds to squeeze instead of 3.8 seconds, stops Pat from attacking or using Rallying Roar for 2 seconds, and grants nearby towers +9 damage for 4 seconds instead of +3 for 6.5 seconds.

8 Increased attack range. Rallying Roar allows monkeys to damage any bloon type.
9 Increased attack speed.
10 Big Squeeze: Grabs a MOAB, BFB, DDT (if visible), or ZOMG and crushes it to bits. Nearby monkeys deal extra damage while he does it.
11 Attack pops more layers.
12 Increased attack speed.
13 Attack stuns bloons for longer and can stun MOAB class bloons very briefly.
14 Rallying Roar increased radius and duration and increased damage of rallied monkeys.
15 Slap attack can affect more bloons.
16 Increased attack range and bonus damage to ceramic and MOAB class bloons.
17 Increased attack speed.
18 Increased popping power.
19 Attack pops more layers.
20 Big Squeeze can grab several big Bloons at once and crush them quicker. Nearby monkeys do even more damage.

Pat Fusty is a simple fellow so we thought synergy with Primary Monkeys was a good fit and gave him a weaker but more versatile version of Fusty the Snowman’s speed boost. We also made Pat an honorary Primary Monkey so that he can benefit from the Village’s top path upgrades, creating a new use for some fairly niche upgrades.
