The Dartling Gunner is a Militarytower in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 22.0. To unlock Dartling Gunner, the player must reach at least Level 30 to access the "Unlock By Pops" menu, then get 3,000,000 pops by playing the game.
The Dartling Gunner shoots darts from its Dartling Gun, which can be pointed in any direction using the cursor, rotating at a rate of 180°/s, and shots have a deviation angle of 23° from the centre. Each dart has 1 pierce and 1 damage, 2 radius, and enough projectile speed and lifespan to last across the entire map, but cannot see Camo Bloons without support or upgrades such as Advanced Targeting.
It can be upgraded to shoot lasers, missiles or independently targeting blasts of buckshot.

The Dartling Gunner costs a decent sum of money, but shoots quickly and has infinite range. Its lower-tier upgrades can be helpful in bridging the gap from early to mid game, while its stronger upgrades can serve as the win condition for a game.
All Dartling Gunners come with a "Locked" targeting priority, causing the tower to stop moving and focusing fire on one spot. Use this targeting option if a good straightaway is available and/or player attention and micro is required elsewhere.
Path 1 features Laser Cannon and Plasma Accelerator. These upgrades do great damage before Round 80, though they fare much worse in Freeplay due to Super Ceramics. They also cannot pop Purples. The Ray of Doom has great damage and exceptionally high pierce, though it is quite expensive.
Path 2 enables the Dartling to shoot deadly rocket pods that can pop any Bloon type. This makes it useful against Bloons rushes. Its final upgrade, the M.A.D, changes the tower's function - instead of being strong against rushes, it deals enormous damage to MOAB-Class Bloons.
Path 3 switches out darts for Buckshot. These projectiles hit hard, but have much more limited range. Furtherupgrades enable the tower to shoot from multiple automatically-targeting barrels, making for great all-around defense that does not require micro.

Base Dartling performance doesn’t quite offset the handholding necessary to use it well, so base price has been reduced to make those first couple upgrades come a little faster. — Update notes
