Spike Storm is the Spike Factory's path 2 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 5. It unlocks an Activated Ability that shoots out 200 MOAB-SHREDR Spikes spread out across the track. On the multiplatform version of Bloons TD 5, the spikes coalesce near the Spike Factory's location, resulting in more damage being done to nearby MOAB-Class Bloons.

Spike Storm is a powerful burst damage to MOAB-class, especially with Monkey Knowledge, being one of the best ways to deal a lot of MOAB-class damage. In Contested Territory, it is one of the many towers that should be placed and supported by buffs.

In the multiplatform version, its capability to hit targets immediately from the spawn location makes it one of the most efficient ways of damaging Boss Bloons if it can be afforded. Sell-and-rebuy strategies give the fastest burst of damage and give enough money to sustain it. Once the Boss is out of range of the Boss's hitbox, use a spam Spike Storm strategy supported by 4-1 Energy Beacons plus one Spike Storm that is continuously bought and sold again for the ability, preferrably inside the Boss's hitbox as soon as it's possible again.

Always crosspath with at least Bigger Stacks, as this substantial pierce bonus affects the ability as well. White Hot Spikes can be added to pop DDTs in the Flash version or to ensure Lead Bloons and Frozen Bloons (with Ice-centric strategies) don't block its spikes.
