The Banana Farmer (also known as the Monkey Farmer) is a tower present in the Bloons TD series, introduced in Bloons TD 5 Deluxe. It is a monkey that automatically collects sources of income in its range.

Its status as a tower varies depending on the game, ranging from being a Special Agent to a Power to a premium standard tower.

Gameplay

[edit | edit source]

The Banana Farmer does not attack Bloons, and usually does not affect them in any way. Instead, it collects income sources such as Banana Farm drops, Supply Drops, and depending on the game, Bloon Traps, among other collectable sources. In almost every appearance, it does not cost cash to place and has a wide collection radius.

In Bloons TD 5, it is a Special Agent, costing  40 per agent. It has a Pro variant which allows it to shoot banana peels out of a cannon onto the track, which knock back Bloons.

In the multiplatform version of Bloons TD Battles, it is a consumable tower that can only be used when a Banana Farm is selected in the player's loadout, and is consumed upon placement. It costs 200 medallions to buy one Monkey Farmer. It additionally has a premium variant, the Robo Farmer, which collects all bananas onscreen and does so thrice as fast, though costing $2.99 USD for a pack of five Robo Farmers. In Bloons TD Battles 2, it is once again a consumable tower, though this time it attracts all collectibles onscreen and does not require a Banana Farm to place. It costs  200 to buy one Banana Farmer.

In Bloons Monkey City, it appears as a premium tower. Its main building is the Banana Barn, which costs $1.99 USD per Barn. It otherwise serves the same purpose as BTD5.

In Bloons TD 6, it appears as a Power, costing Monkey Money 50 per Farmer. It has an exclusive Monkey Knowledge, Fit Farmers Fit Farmers, which increases its range by 20%. It has a Power Pro variant, the Banana Farmer Pro, which costs Monkey Money 100 per Farmer but starts off with an increased collection radius and speed, which can be augmented with one of three upgrade paths purchased with cash that focus on more speed and knocking back Bloons (similar to BTD5's Banana Farmer Pro), extra Banana Farm income, or increasing Farm sell value and increasing/collecting income from Monkey Banks.

In Bloons Adventure Time TD, it is a Legendary ally that attracts every collectable income source onscreen, costing $200 but having no upgrades and thus still not being able to attack Bloons.
