Red Bloon Apopalypse is a Basic Power card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 3.0. It is similar to Red Bloon Storm, except it fills all empty slots in both the player's and the opponent's Bloon queues with Red Bloons instead of just the player's. Red Bloons fill one at a time at the player's side, and then again for the opponent's side.

The card artwork depicts a city with a hazy orange-and-yellow sky saturated with many Red Bloons. A single monkey looks above with red pupils and a shocked expression on their face. The shot is at a Dutch angle, tilted to the left.

  • Red Bloon Apopalypse plays entirely differently from Red Bloon Storm. It's a control card mostly meant for blocking the opponent from playing and prevent the Storm's Bloons. Friendly Red Bloons serve as a downside, however, but this can be played around.
  • Red Bloon Apopalypse can mutually shut down the tempo of both players, but hurts the passive player less. This hurts faster-paced tempo by slowing down their pressure and allows the other player to pile more resources defensively.
  • Because of its high cost, 4 more Gold than Red Bloon Storm, Red Bloon Apopalypse should never be equipped for swarm synergies. The opponent may try to avoid popping your Reds so you can mutually gain its disadvantages, but the Reds remain a leaking threat until after two turns, and your Reds leak first. Still, the swarms of Reds are far less threatening than, for instance, masses of Large Bloons or Zombie-focused offense.
  • Leaving the Red Bloons spawned on the opponent's side unpopped has many practical benefits:
    • It prevents the opponent from playing any of their own Bloons for two turns, which gives more tempo for the user and stops aggro players (unless it's a swarm aggro deck that uses Bloon Embiggen, which benefits them instead). This can be combined with Glue Storm, Powerful Slowing Totem, and/or ARBITR to add more turns.
    • It can block the Storm from summoning more Bloons. Notable rounds include those that summon many Pink Bloons.
    • Weakening the opponent's Bloons without popping them (such as by using one Spike Storm), then allowing them to leak, is an easy way to scale Heart of Vengeance Druids.
  • To avoid killing the stall, avoid cards that automatically attack, such as Mortars and Blade Maelstrom, as well as Grand Saboteur. Leaving even just one space can allow the opponent to have enough leverage next turn.
  • Note that a player can use certain Hero abilities (mainly Quincy's Arrow Shot) or cards (e.g. Overload, Bloon Melter, Enhanced Reflexes) to open up space for another Bloon. Both players are able to take advantage of this to send better bloons for extra pressure. To prevent some of these, Bloontonium Leak can be used before Red Bloon Apopalypse.
  • Once the opponent's Red Bloons are destroyed, they fill the opponent's graveyard with Red Bloons, which makes Reinflated and The Prestige less likely to draw the Bloons the opponent wants (such as Pink Bloons and The Eternal) and weakens a potential Bloon Amalgam (from Bloon Amalgamation). This is a positive for Eerie Lifeforce, which gains up to +80 total for every Red Bloon Apopalypse played (depending on the number of Reds on a player's side).
  • Some decks that focus on the Extractor Bloon use Red Bloon Apopalypse with weak damage like Quincy's passive, Spike Storm, or Glaive Ricochet to feed the Extractor Bloon(s).
  • Mountain Obyn’s Rise! can be used to weaken the Red Bloon Apopalypse for relatively cheap.
  • Spike-o-Pults can pop the opponent's Bloons to gain more Attack Power easily. Note that popping one of the opponent's Bloons right before the Storm summons a Bloon on their side will cause the Storm to fill the empty slot before the opponent can play their own Bloons, which allows the player to scale a Spike-o-Pult while still preventing the opponent from playing their own Bloons.
