Fright Night is a Basic Power card in Bloons Card Storm introduced in version 6.0. It steals up to 4 Gold from the opponent. It can be activated even if the opponent has no Gold.
The card artwork portrays a trick-or-treat night at a residential neighborhood, with a monkey dressed as a Red Bloon scaring another monkey dressed as a vampire, who is crying. Four gold coins are discarded to the air.
Tips
[edit | edit source]This section was last updated for: version 6.1
- Fright Night costing Bloontonium to steal Gold makes it stand out in aggro decks, which typically gain a steady production of Bloontonium primarily from Bloons. Stealing Gold prevents the opponent from countering with a strong card while storing Gold as a saveup.
- As a Common, it's easy to unlock and use for new players.
- Check the opponent's cash combined with the current eco to predict what they're saving up for, to weaken the opponent the most with this card.
- Outside of setups that involve Zee Jay's Rad Bloon Time ability, Fright Night can be used as a niche way to buy more pieces of an OTK setup, but the Bloontonium cost still makes this card difficult to use optimally outside of aggro.
Development
[edit | edit source]Initially, Fright Night was proposed by community playtesters to be reworked to cost 7 Bloontonium instead of 9 but steal only 2 Gold instead of 4.[1] This change was reverted by Ninja Kiwi for unknown reasons,[1] despite Fright Night being a banned card in the Ninja Kiwi official sponsored tournament hosted several months before then.[1]
