The Bloonchipper is a tower introduced in Bloons TD 5 Deluxe. It is a woodchipper-like machine that sucks in Bloons and shreds them.

Gameplay

The Bloonchipper is a tower that stalls Bloons by sucking in a single Bloon at a time and shredding 1 layer, potentially before sucking it back in. It takes longer to shred a Bloon the stronger it is.

Its two upgrade paths focus on sucking in stronger Bloons (up to MOAB-Class Bloons) and sucking in more Bloons at a time, respectively. In Bloons TD 5, its specialty building is Al's Custom Chippers. Its main buildings in Bloons Monkey City are the Chipper Shed and Advanced Chipper Lab.

The Bloonchipper in Frontier Legends

A disheveled, nonfunctional Bloonchipper makes a cameo appearance in Bloons TD 6 in the map Scrapyard. This cameo has been implied[1] to be a reference to Ninja Kiwi's outspoken animosity towards the tower and its balancing, which led to it being cut from Bloons TD 6. It also has a minor role in the Frontier Legends DLC as a trash item obtainable through fishing, with Mr. Mayor referring to a discarded Bloonchipper as "junk" in a cutscene.

The Bloonchipper has been implied to have been considered to return at some point,[2][3] but was likely quickly scrapped, with no work related to the tower resurfacing aside from it being stated that it would have "probably" been Support-class.[2]
