Benjamin (or just Ben) is a character that debuted in Bloons TD 6. He is a "Code Monkey" who uses his technology to support other monkeys.

Gameplay

Bloons TD series

Benjamin is a Hero who does not attack Bloons directly, instead using his computer to generate cash (and eventually lives), buff monkeys, and weaken Bloons. He can generate cash by various methods, including end-of-round cash, incoming bloons, and hacking directly into bloons. He is somewhat expensive and levels up slowly. In Battles 2, Benjamin improves the player's Bloon Boosts and Tower Boosts instead of gaining lives.

His Hero Alt in Battles 2, DJ Benjammin', also focuses on income boosts, and though his income is not nearly as plentiful at first (starting off generating $50 per round), he can gain more income than base Benjamin by having monkeys in his range. His support abilities are also more pronounced, with his passive ability to regenerate lives being replaced with reducing ability cooldowns across the whole map (except himself). Instead of increasing the income of Monkey Banks, he increases the value of all income sources except from Farms and Villages.

General information

Appearance

Benjamin has brown fur, tan skin, and grey eyes, with slicked back brown hair and an eyebrow slit on his left eyebrow. He wears a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a black tie and black pants. He carries around a grey laptop and sits in a black custom-made gaming chair. In Bloons TD 6 and Battles 2, his appearance changes as he levels up:

• At level 3, he gains a nondescript grey wrist-mounted device with three green screens.
• At level 5, he gains a pair of black sunglasses perched on his forehead, though these don't appear on his portrait until level 7.
• At level 7, his laptop gains a green antennae, a small satellite receiver, and an attachment that resembles a lock.
• At level 10, he wears his sunglasses properly, gains a grey dress shirt, replaces his laptop with a tablet, and deploys a large black server(?) with a satellite attachment behind him, replacing his office chair and letting him stand up.
• At level 20, his sunglasses are replaced with a green visor, his tablet is replaced with a holographic display and keyboard, he gains a black and bright green full-body suit with appropriate gloves and shoes and grey wristbands, and he gains an additional server, with both being slightly more detailed.

Benjamin is very proficient in technology and programming. He is seemingly somewhat braggadocios, being quick to declare "there's smart, and then there's me smart" when fully leveled and considering himself something of a ladies' man, though he is otherwise depicted as easygoing. However, when encountering any type of MOAB-Class Bloon, he tends to express anxiety or resignation unlike most heroes, likely due to him not being able to attack them, though he quickly regains confidence once they are popped. It has been implied that he believes he's stronger than he really is.

While he primarily works as a hacker, he also works in tech support for his local community. He also dabbles in working as a disc jockey, a field in which he is self-taught (via practicing and watching YouTube tutorials). He is self-employed in all fields.

Ben is additionally an avid gamer, playing anything from fighting games to rhythm games, having a personal quest to be good at every video game available. His favorite game has been stated to be Bloons Pop! and he considers himself a champion of Quincy Racing: CrossBloons (though some monkeys heavily contest this).

Benjammin DJ (DJ Benjammin' in Battles 2) is the disc jockey alter ego of Benjamin that appears in BTD6 and Battles 2.

Sushi Bento is a skin of Benjamin featured in BTD6. He runs a sushi stand. As he levels up, he starts performing more than just rolling the seaweed of hand-made Californian rolls (his favorite type of sushi).

• He programmed Cyber Quincy's firewalls. He has never been interested in looking into if he could control Cyber Quincy, though he would easily be able to.
• He is not fond of waterbeds, fearing a stray dart would pop the bed and cause the water to ruin his laptop.
• He takes a lot of sponsorships from various companies.
• He has multiple private properties, but is very secretive about their location(s).
• Benjamin and Agent Jericho are great friends, always grabbing lunch together back when they worked in the same office. They have went on missions together, enough to warrant 3 heavily-redacted boxes' worth of files.
• It has been implied that he breakdances in his free time.
• Benjamin really wants to upgrade Captain Churchill's tank, but Churchill is not entirely convinced to let him do so. They still remain friends.

• Despite being a proficient hacker, he prefers to properly earn his game progress.
• He uses Discord, owning his own server.
• Despite having a side hustle as a DJ, Ben is the worst singer out of the Heroes. Unfortunately, he enjoys karaoke.
• His favorite class in Team Fortress 2 is the Spy.
• He codes in the B# programming language.
• He once beat Adora at Mario Kart. She refused to play with him again.
• He has been implied to have not gone to school. Still, he has been said to have studied computer science at some point.
• His laptop uses his own custom operating system.
• He doesn't have a morning routine, usually staying up the whole night before.
• His favorite BTD6 strategy involves building lots of Monkey Banks.
• He has been rickrolled several times. Fortunately, he sends as many as he receives, in very elaborate ways.
