Monkey Investigator is a Support Monkey card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 2.0. When played, the player draws a random Bloon card from their deck. If there are no Bloons remaining in the deck, no card is drawn.
The card art depicts the Monkey Investigator on the Midnight Mansion map from Bloons TD 6. It holds a magnifying glass and shows curiosity. When not out of ammo, it holds a pistol.
Tips
- Its fairly efficient damage for a low cost makes it a good early-game Monkey, while still serving value for later rounds with its Bloon draw.
- Aside from the On Play draw of a guaranteed Bloon card, the Monkey Investigator is a more efficient Crossbow Monkey, because of its 1 Reload but similar damage per shot with 1 Ammo. The only marginal differences are its inability to be buffed by Super Monkey Fan Club and inability to one-shot unbuffed Red Bloons.
- The Monkey Investigator can be used for guaranteeing a source of bloontonium by drawing a bloon, while still defending against incoming bloons.
- Players relying on The Eternal may bring Monkey Investigator to specifically draw that card, especially if it's their only Bloon card.
Update history
- Monkey Investigator's shooting sound effect is now a brief high-pitched "pew" sound, similar to Brickell's pistol, instead of a "throw" sound (e.g. Dart Monkey).
