Slow And Steady is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. It increases the damage that all Monkeys do by 50% permanently but in exchange they make Towers attack slower for the first 20s of each round. Common rarity increases the attack cooldown by +50%, Rare +35% and Legendary +25%, resulting on an attack speed penalty of −33%, −26% and −20%, respectively.

Despite the attack speed drop at the start of the round, the overall DPS of towers remains the same or slightly increased within the first 20s, with the only potential problems become pierce-related, so it is recommended to either offset drawback of the artifact with Quickening or other buffs to attacks speed, specially Starting Strong which coincidentally also only works during the first 20s of a round. Other options to play around the drawback include pierce buffs or, during the early stages of the campaign, by placing the defense in the back of the track. In late stages, short maps and DDTs can become a difficult combination to handle, but hopefully at that point the player should enough Artifacts to make the attack speed penalty insignificant or have access to any kind of stall that lessens the impact.

In general, there is little reason to not pick this Artifact when it shows up as the damage boost is significant and it is relatively easy to play around the drawback.
