Essence Of Blastapopoulos is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. When active, it causes all projectiles from Tier 4+ Monkeys and Level 15+ Heroes to deal a damage over time effect which deals 21 damage every 1.5s. Additionally affected Bloons take +4 damage from all sources. These effects last for 99s, but if a Hero inflicts the effect, the bonus damage has infinite lifespan.
Technically, the bonus damage and the damage over time effect are not tied to each other, despite what the description says, as the damage detonation of Alluring Melody does not impact the bonus damage effect.
Like all Boss Artifacts, this has a cost of 18 Artifact Power, so players cannot equip it as an Starting Artifact unless they have bought all the levels of the Starting Artifact Power upgrade from the Rogue XP Shop.
Essence of Blastapopoulos' damage over time effect and the damage bonus improves the capability for defenses to focus on singular targets, and like buffs effects that increase damage, it has great synergy with towers with very fast attack speed or a high amount of projectiles, like Overdrive, Destroyer or Super Monkeys. Alluring Melody and further upgrades can be used to detonate the damage over time effect if the player can reliably inflict it again as the amount of damage easily reaches the cap on the Tier 3 and 4 Mermonkeys. Also, it has some synergy with Pops Fired, a relic that can produce plenty of explosions from burning Bloons.
Unfortunately, despite the benefits, this Artifact is rarely used on endless CHIMPS campaigns as it produces a really high amount of lag which can be a deal breaker for most setups.
