Rake is an Intermediate map in Bloons TD 6. It takes place in a Japanese-style rock garden.

Layout

[edit | edit source]

Rake has two simultaneously active lanes, one from the top to bottom-right and one from the left to the bottom-center-right. The layout of these lanes can confuse the targeting of towers when set on First. There are 3 flowering cherry trees, two on the top-left and one on the top-right. There is a pool that allows for water-based strategies on this map. The rock in the middle-right can be removed for a price of $1000, freeing up a place to put towers near the track intersections.

Strategy

[edit | edit source]

With two simultaneously active short lanes that confuse towers' targeting, Rake is one of the most difficult Intermediate maps. In general, towers should be placed at the center, right below the center, or on the space cleared by removing the rock, as these spots take good advantage of the two lanes' intersection. Cleanup towers should also be used to prevent leaks that result from unreliable targeting on this map.

Perma-Spike When placed slightly to the top-left of the center of the enclosed space to the bottom-left of the rock and set to Smart, Perma-Spike shoots its spikes so that they cover the exits of both lanes when paired with Berserker Brew and Jungle Drums. With that, Perma-Spike can tank large amounts of leaks that often occur due to the erratic targeting of towers on this map.
Glaive Lord Due to the initial separation of the lanes, Glaive Lord's thrown glaives can repeatedly bounce all around the lanes, dealing massive damage. When placed at the center, the rotating glaives also perform solid cleanup of Super Ceramics and low-tier blimps.
