Beetienne is a Hero Alt of Etienne in Bloons TD Battles 2, introduced in version 4.4. He costs  5,000 Monkey Money and 40,000 Etienne Hero Points to unlock.

Beetienne uses swarms of honeybees to attack nearby Bloons with their stingers. Starting at level 2, he unlocks Making Honey, a targeting option that causes his swarms to stop attacking and instead generate lives every 3 seconds, and they can generate lives above the usual cap of 150 lives. His Defend the Hive! ability summons extra swarms and makes all of his swarms more aggressive and automatically switch back to attacking if they were making honey. His Auxiliary Hives ability allows the player to spend lives to place permanent Hive sub-towers that have their own swarms.

Levels

Level	Description
1	A swarm of bees independently pursues and stings the Bloons.
2	Beetienne's range increases and he gains the "Making Honey" targeting option which stops his bees from attacking so they can create life giving honey instead.
3	Defend the Hive!: Beetienne calls in 2 temporary swarms of bees. All swarms become faster and more aggressive for a short while.
4	Swarms deal damage to bloons faster.
5	Beetienne's bees can now attack bloons in any monkey's range, not just Beetienne's.
6	Swarms deal more damage per attack. Beetienne generates more lives while Making Honey.
7	Camo bloons that are near Beetienne are visible to all monkeys.
8	Swarms deal more damage per attack. Beetienne generates more lives while Making Honey.
9	Swarms deal damage to bloons faster. Beetienne generates more lives while Making Honey.
10	Auxiliary Hives: Consumes 100 lives to create a permanent, independent beehive with its own swarm. Upgrades to Beetienne's swarms also affect all swarms from Auxiliary hives.
11	Beetienne gains a second swarm of bees and generates more lives while Making Honey.
12	All swarms move much faster.
13	Defend the Hive causes Beetienne's swarms to attack even faster.
14	Swarms deal more damage per attack. Beetienne generates more lives while Making Honey.
15	Newly placed Auxiliary hives cost 200 lives and have 2 swarms of bees each.
16	Swarms deal damage to bloons faster. Defend the Hive's cooldown is reduced.
17	Beetienne's swarms deal more damage while Defend the Hive is active.
18	Swarms deal more damage per attack. Beetienne generates more lives while Making Honey.
19	Beetienne gains a third swarm of bees and generates more lives while Making Honey.
20	Defend the Hive now affects all swarms from Auxiliary Hives.

Beetienne was announced alongside version 4.4 in a Reddit post and YouTube video previewing the update. These previews included descriptions of his mechanics and abilities.
