Introduction
This is my Sandbox. It has no specific purpose, so there is no organization. This is simply where whatever random ideas I have without needing to actually commit to any.
Explaining Every Hero Party (Rogue Legends)
| Hero | Insta Monkeys | Artifact | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cyber Quincy is themed around ruthless and harsh elimination of Bloons. |
The Bloon Area Denial System and Bloon Exclusion Zone fit the theme. |
Cold, calculated popping of Path 1. |
The name of the Artifact is Cyber Quincy's theme. | ||
Quincy, being the starter hero, is themed around simplicity. |
Quincy, being an archer, gets the only other monkey to wield a type of bow. Also synergizes with Splody Darts. |
Boomerang Monkeys are basic, but it's likely that it's only here for Lead popping. |
Quincy's arrows occasionally explode starting at level 7. | ||
Wolfpack Quincy is themed around animals and packs. |
Wolfpack Quincy gets a beast pack. Path 2 utilizes dinosaurs, fitting as Wolfpack Quincy is said to be the ancestor of Quincy. |
Fits with the wildlife theme, and Path 3 Druid also wears a wolf pelt like Wolfpack Quincy. |
Wolfpack Quincy gets a beast pack. |
Buffs Wolfpack Quincy's beast packs. | |
Harlegwen uses silly bouncy projectiles. |
Unsure, but it is fun to watch the darts bounce around at the entrance. |
Dartling Gunners are the original users of Bouncing Projectiles in the Quest New Dart Just Dropped. |
Harlegwen is silly and chaotic. | ||
Gwendolin is themed around her synergies, and fire. |
Gwendolin buffs Ring of Fire. |
Gwendolin buffs Dragon's Breath. |
Path 3 Boomerang Monkey has fire. |
Fits Gwendolin's fire theme. | |
Scientist Gwendolin uses the powers of science and innovation! |
YAY SCIENCE! |
YAY SCIENCE! |
YAY DART MONKEY! |
YAY ICE, I guess? | |
Biker Bones is themed around fire. |
Path 2 Wizard Monkey uses fire. |
Biker Bones buffs Mortar Monkeys, and Path 3 has fire. |
|||
Octojones uses the power of the deep to defeat the Bloons. (NOT the power of the depths. Mermonkey already claimed that.) |
Octojones buffs Bomb Shooters. |
yar har fiddle dee dee |
|||
Striker Jones utilizes his benefits to Mortar Monkeys and Bomb Shooters. |
Covers for a lack of cheap Camo detection in Striker Jones' party. |
Striker Jones buffs Mortar Monkeys, and can reset Path 2's ability cooldowns. |
Striker Jones buffs Bomb Shooters. |
Synergizes with Striker Jones and his buffed Bomb Shooters. | |
Obyn Greenfoot is the Druid and Magic Monkey hero. |
Obyn Greenfoot buffs Druids. |
Obyn Greenfoot buffs Druids, and specifically Druids of Wrath at level 18. |
Obyn Greenfoot buffs Magic Monkeys. | ||
Ocean Guardian is themed around water. (shocking) |
Can be placed in water, and is also buffed by Ocean Guardian due to being a Magic Monkey. |
Fits Ocean Guardian's water theme. |
Allows Mermonkeys and Beast Handlers to have water to utilize on all maps. | ||
Rosalia's party is based around her synergies. |
I don't know for this one. It doesn't appear to be for any of Rosalia's weaknesses, as Lead Bloons are dealt with grenades. Strange that it isn't an Engineer Monkey. |
Rosalia's Guardian Automaton. |
Rosalia buffs and discounts Monkey Aces. |
Monkey Ace synergy. | |
Tinkerfairy's party is definitely the tinkeringest around. Her towers are extremely versatile. |
Nature. |
Tinkerfairy buffs and discounts Heli Pilots. Also contrasts with Rosalia's use of Monkey Ace. |
A mythical creature like fairies. |
The term Fata Morgana is the Italian translation of "Morgan the Fairy". | |
Sleigh Churchill is of course themed around Christmas. |
Ice is wintery. |
An elf that makes toys. Toys that so happen to shoot nails at Bloons. |
Gifts for all! | ||
Benjamin can't pop Bloons, so he's weak to all Bloon types. His party attempts to cover for this. |
1-2-0 Sniper Monkey can cover all Bloon types. Path 2 Sniper Monkey also makes money. |
Path 1 Spike Factory can pop all Bloon types, and Spiked Mines is expensive, so the money generated by Benjamin can be used. |
The money Hero gets the money tower. |
Gives Benjamin utility outside of making money. | |
The DJ hypes the monkeys up! | |||||
Fusty the Snowman is themed around ice and freezing Bloons. |
Freezes Bloons. |
Freezes Bloons. |
Freezes Bloons. (Esoteric Elementalist) |
Allows the Wizard Monkey to freeze Bloons. | |
Kaiju Pat uses the powers of Japan, as kaijus come from Japanese culture. |
Dinosaurs are the closest towers to kaijus. |
Ninjas are Japanese. |
Ninjas are Japanese. |
||
Ezili relies on her higher levels, such as for MOAB Hex or cheap Sacrificial Totems, so an artifact that helps with leveling up is helpful. | |||||
Galaxili has fire themed towers, and galaxies are hot. |
|||||
Transforming Tonic turns the Alchemist into a magical furry monster, fitting for Smudge Catt. |
Recursive Cluster works as a cleanup tower for Ceramics, as Path 2 Alchemist and Spike Factory are both very good at breaking down MOAB layers. |
The cat themed hero gets the cat themed artifact, even if it is counter-synergetic with them. | |||
An engineer to build Adora's Temple. |
Adora buffs Path 1 Super Monkeys. |
Adora calls up her good buddy GOD to smite Bloons. | |||
I've read a little bit about Joan of Arc, but I'm likely still not knowledgeable enough to be completely accurate. |
I have no clue about this one. Help would be greatly appreciated. |
This might be a reference to Joan of Arc being burned at the stake. |
Joan of Arc was considered heroic, being canonized by Pope Benedict XV. | ||
Join together, and become one with the void. |
To the void, all is nothing, and nothing is all. | ||||
She-Ra has a matching party to base Adora, as to avoid any form of pay-to-win. |
|||||
Etienne uses technology and builds help to pop Bloons. |
Engineer Monkey builds technological inventions. Path 1 also summons Sentries like how Etienne summons drones. |
Heli Pilots fly like Etienne's drones. Path 3 also summons 'drones' of its own. |
Etienne relies heavily on his abilities to be effective. | ||
ETn is themed around sci-fi alien tropes. |
An alien spacecraft. Centered Path, because of crop circles. |
Aliens are commonly associated with laser technology, which Path 1 Dartling Gunner uses. |
Also an alien spacecraft. |
||
Book Wyrm is themed around fantasy books, with magic and mystery! |
Superhero books. |
Wizards are a staple of the fantasy genre. |
|||
Sauda's party consists of towers that are similar to or synergize with her. |
Close range attacker like Sauda. Path 2 uses blades, and as Sauda says: "My blades are legendary!" |
Sauda deals increased damage to slowed Bloons at level 11. |
Sauda deals increased damage to slowed Bloons at level 11. Sticky Situation further enhances this synergy. | ||
Path 1 Bomb Shooter stuns Bloons, allowing Viking Sauda to deal more damage to them at level 7. Surprised it is not a 0-2-0 Monkey Buccaneer for boat theming and damage over time synergy. |
Sharp blades. |
Blades so sharp it cuts through ceramic with ease. | |||
A jiangshi is an undead creature in Chinese folklore. |
Path 3 Wizard Monkey resurrects the dead. |
Jiangshi are said to be countered by mirrors/their own reflection, and ice is reflective. May also be here because Jiangshi Sauda deals more damage to frozen Bloons at level 11. |
|||
Admiral Brickell uses the water towers that she commands. |
Water tower. |
Water tower. |
Portable Lakes allow Admiral Brickell and her party to be placed on almost any map. | ||
Dread Pirate Brickell uses pirate themes. |
Beast Handlers can be upgraded to have an aquatic beast, or bird to represent a parrot. |
So Dread Pirate Brickell gets the kraken, but Octojones doesn't? |
yar har fiddle dee dee |
Allows the pirates to do more plunderin'. | |
Lifeguard Brickell focuses on safety for other monkeys. |
Path 2 Ice Monkey creates ice platforms that prevent monkeys from drowning. |
Path 2 Heli Pilot chinooks monkeys to safety. |
Allows Lifeguard Brickell to be placed on almost any map. | ||
Psimbals plays music for everyone to enjoy! |
Path 3 Mermonkey sings along with Psimbals' music. |
The radar on top of the Monkey Village is used to broadcast Psimbals' music. |
To increase the range of Psimbals' musical broadcast. | ||
Party synergizes with Dreamstate Psi's Dream Teams Artifact. |
Shinobi Tactics. |
Poplust. |
Dream Teams for Dreamstate Psi. | ||
Geraldo doesn't have a central theme, but just towers that make since. |
Geraldo has a focus on sub towers like Beast Handler. |
Path 3 Tack Shooter is the perfect tower for Geraldo's shop, benefiting from Jar of Pickles, See Invisibility Potion, Tube of Amaz-o-Glue (due to limited range), and Sharpening Stone. |
Geraldo as a hero is more focused on support, using his shop to allow other towers to shine. | ||
Path 1 Bomb Shooter stuns Bloons, synergizing with Confuddling Spelling. |
Path 3 Wizard Monkey utilizes dark magic similar to Corvus. |
Corvus uses many spells of his own. | |||

Bloons Card Storm Deck
| Provides a third of a sacrifice, and can be used to put up Sun Shield. When paired with a Bloontonium Gas Bloon or Slowing Bloon, Sun Shield can be put up from 0 Bloontonium. Alternatively, having both a Bloontonium Miner and Mine Supervisor in play have the same effect as one of the prior mentioned Bloons. | |
| File:BCS bloontonium miner card art.png Bloontonium Miner ×3 | Provides quick Bloontonium for 1 gold. Increases the Bloontonium generation of Mine Supervisor. A low 10 DPT and an on-play effect makes it a good sacrifice target. |
| Excellent early game defense. Having 2 charges gives several useful perks, such as giving additional sacrifice targets or filling the board for Expert Negotiator. | |
| Another Bloontonium generator that also deals good damage. Provides an instant 50 damage and 2 Bloontonium for only 2 gold, meaning that playing, using, and then sacrificing it is a solid play. | |
| Protects from large, staggered rushes, which Adora struggles with due to Orbs of Light’s random factor. | |
| Provides a good amount of Bloontonium. Gas Bloon properties means that it dissuades Triple Shots from attacking, and can take advantage of Quincy's Perceptive Shot. 150 Health means that the opponent can't simply ignore it. | |
| A solid 35 DPT means that it can serve as a replacement for sacrificed Monkeys. Due to the fact that the deck doesn’t run low power Bloons, it always draws something of value. | |
| Provides extra turns that may be necessary to build up Bloontonium. Only 2 copies are needed due to Monkey Investigator, Black Bloons, and Zebra Bloons being able to draw it. | |
| An excellent source of Bloontonium with a solid 45 DPT is very helpful. Only 2 copies are run because it is an ineffective sacrifice target, and there are enough other Bloontonium sources in the deck. | |
| Helps give more time to generate Bloontonium if needed, while controlling tempo. The ability to remove snowballing Wizard Monkeys and Spike-o-Pults can win games. 2 copies are run due to Return to Sender’s tendency to brick, along with Expert Negotiators filling a similar role in the deck. | |
| Simply a good Bloon. A 5 gold cost strikes a fine balance between cost and Bloontonium. Preferred over White Bloons to allow more hand space. | |
| Monkey Investigator and the card drawing Bloons means that there are often a decent number of Bloons on your field. Quick Ready can help give the extra bit of damage needed to win games, and two Quick Readies are a valid win condition. | |
| Due to the high number of solid power Bloons in the deck, BFBs can force the opponent into a lose-lose situation, especially when paired with Quick Ready. Also provides lots of Bloontonium due to having 2 charges. | |
| Helps to weaken large rushes of Bloons, allowing Orbs of Light and other Monkeys to pick them off. Poor DPT and an on play effect makes it a good sacrifice target. 2 copies are run to avoid bricking. | |
| Provides a similar role to that of Return to Sender, with some advantages. The ability to remove Monkeys without the opponent being able to replay them is better than Return to Sender, and can be consistently done due to the high number of low cost Monkeys in the deck being able to fill your board. Ultimate Sacrifice allows the ability to steal a Monkey even with a full board, and can also be used to sacrifice whatever Monkey you steal to avoid Expert Negotiator fights. 2 copies are run to avoid bricking, along with Return to Sender filling a similar role in the deck. | |
| Gives high Bloontonium and provides card draw. Can be used to put up Sun Shield from 0 Bloontonium. Middling power for its cost means running more than 2 copies is a bad idea. | |
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| Stun Gas Bloon, Weakening Gas Bloon, Toxic Bloon
Orbs of Light does not come from a Monkey, so effects that target attacking Monkeys don't work. |
Bloontonium Gas Bloon, Growth Gas Bloon, The Eternal
Orbs of Light randomly target Bloons, so hitting Bloons you don't want can't be played around. |
| Swarm, Aggro
Leaking weaker Bloons is tolerable thanks to healing, although Fortify has to be played around. Spike Storm! and Thunder Druid can also heavily reduce damage coming in from swarms. |
Zee Jay
Passive Awesomeness is problematic, often making Bloons difficult to deal with without using Bloontonium on Orbs of Light. The problem only increases as Zee Jay gets more Bloontonium. |
| Amelia the Amazing
Amelia's Bloontonium abilities fail to be effective. If Bloon Shield allows a Bloon to leak it can be healed off, and Act of Power combos can be protected against with Sun Shield. Grand Disappearance is ineffective, as the deck doesn't rely on a single Monkey too heavily. |
Farms
Losing tempo is the biggest weakness of the deck for several reasons, and one of them is that Gold is often tight for the deck. This means that when the opponent can get it faster, it becomes impossible to balance defense with Bloontonium. Expert Negotiator can help, but it is often available too late in the game to turn it around. |
| Pink Bloon, Quick Ready
Sun Shield can protect against Pink Bloons and Quick Ready. |
Bloontonium Miner, Mine Supervisor
If the opponent can generate Bloontonium faster, especially if they're Adora or Zee Jay, puts the deck at a disadvantage with defense. Both Miners are cheap, making Return to Sender an extremely ineffective countermeasure. |
| Wizard Monkey, Spike-o-Pult, Try This!
Scaling effects can be reset with Return to Sender, or stolen with Expert Negotiator. |
Late-Game Control
The deck doesn't win quickly, so if the opponent can build a strong enough defense then getting through is a struggle. |
| Quincy
Perceptive Shot can be taken advantage of, by getting more Bloontonium from Bloontonium Gas Bloon or getting cards from Black Bloons quicker. |
Adora, High Priestess
Sun Shield protects the opposing Adora from Quick Ready, and healing via sacrifices means that the deck has to deal all of its damage in one turn, which it struggles to do. |
| Return to Sender
The Monkeys run in the deck, other than Mine Supervisor, benefit from being played again. |
Steady Growth Bloon, Aura of Strength Bloon, Strengthenator
Orbs of Light's random factor means that targeting scaling Bloons before they grow too much is difficult. |
What the heck are these Bloons called???
