Cyber Quincy is a Hero Alt of Quincy in Bloons TD Battles 2. He costs  2,000 Monkey Money and Hero PointsQuincy Hero Points 40,000 Quincy Hero Points to unlock.

Cyber Quincy's attack fires arrows that ricochet from Bloon to Bloon and can pass through line of sight blockers, hitting up to 5 at a time at level 1. His arrows cannot pop Lead Bloons or frozen Bloons. As he levels up, his arrows gain more pierce and can bounce to more Bloons, his range increases, his arrows deal more damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, and he gains Camo detection and the ability to fire multiple arrows at a time. Starting at level 7, every third shot fires arrows that explode on the first Bloons they hit, dealing plasma-type damage in an area and continuing to ricochet afterwards. Compared to Quincy, he focuses more on pierce, range, and damage, rather than attack speed, making him much more reliable for grouped damage rather than single-target. He has two Activated Abilities:

  • Cyber Shot (level 3) — Temporarily grants a massive range and pierce buff for arrows, a damage buff for EMPs, and a small attack speed buff for a short time. Its duration increases as Cyber Quincy levels up, and starting at level 15, it grants more damage and pierce.
  • Cyber Storm (level 10) — Fires a storm of arrows from above that damages Bloons within an area over a short time and can target Bloons from anywhere on the map.

Differences from Quincy

  •   Cyber Quincy's arrows ignore line of sight blockers.
  •   Cyber Quincy's arrows have more projectile speed.
  •   Cyber Quincy's level 3 Cyber Shot ability grants a significant amount of pierce, range, and ricocheting range, but only a minor increase in attack speed compared to Quincy's triple attack speed.
  •   Cyber Shot has an initial cooldown.
  •   Cyber Quincy shoots EMP arrows that deal plasma damage instead of explosive arrows that deal explosion damage. This prevents them from damaging Purple Bloons but allows them to damage Black Bloons, Zebra Bloons, and DDTs.
  •   Cyber Quincy's level 10 Cyber Storm ability lasts 1/3 as long as Quincy's with half the radius, but it deals significantly more damage with guaranteed chance at a slower rate.
  •   Cyber Storm deals plasma-type damage instead of sharp. This prevents it from damaging Purple Bloons but allows it to damage Lead Bloons, frozen Bloons, and DDTs.
  •   Levels 11 and 16 increase damage instead of attack speed.

Cyber Quincy's level 3 ability, which grants pierce and a small amount of attack speed instead of a substantial attack speed increase, means that he is more equipped to handle large amounts of grouped Bloons, but in turn does less MOAB-class damage. Additionally, his level 7 EMP blast and level 10 ability are plasma-type instead of explosion-type and sharp-type, respectively, which means that he is able to damage DDTs but not Purples.

Mechanics

Arrows

Cyber Quincy's base attack fires ricocheting arrows every 0.95 seconds that deal 1 sharp-type damage and have 5 pierce. Each time an arrow hits a Bloon, the arrow changes its direction in mid-air towards the closest Bloon within 50 distance units of itself. If no Bloons are within distance, the arrow continues moving in the same direction as before hitting the Bloon. His arrows move faster than normal Quincy, and Cyber Quincy and his arrows naturally ignore blockers.

6 Now fires two arrows at a time instead of one, spread 10° apart from each other.
8 Now deals +2 damage to MOAB-Class Bloons.
9 Pierce increases to 9.
11 Damage increases to 3.
12 Pierce increases to 10.
13 Range increases to 54 units.
14 Now deals +8 damage to MOAB-Class Bloons.
16 Damage increases to 8.
17 Arrows can travel 25% further before expiring on their own.
18 Attack cooldown reduces to 0.59375s, effectively increasing attack speed by 60%.
19 Now fires three arrows at a time. Pierce increases to 12.
20 Damage increases to 35.

EMP arrows

Starting at level 7, on every third shot, Cyber Quincy fires arrows that explode on contact with the first Bloon, then continue to ricochet afterwards. The explosions deal 1 plasma-type damage to up to 10 Bloons in a small area, and can hit the same Bloons as the arrows.

Cyber Shot

Cyber Shot is unlocked at level 3. It applies the following temporary buffs to Cyber Quincy:

  • +200 range (almost global map range)
  • +200 ricochet targeting distance
  • +15 arrow pierce (does not affect EMPs)
  • +1 damage dealt by EMPs (more specifically 2× base damage from EMPs)
  • -15% attack cooldown (effectively increasing attack speed by ~17.8%)

It lasts for 6.5 seconds at level 3 and increases by 0.5 seconds per level (up to 15 seconds at level 20). It has a 45-second cooldown and a 11.25-second initial cooldown.

At level 15, it grants +30 pierce instead of +15, +2 damage for EMPs instead of +1, and has a cooldown of 35 seconds.

Cyber Storm

 

Cyber Storm is unlocked at level 10. Upon activation, Cyber Quincy targets a Bloon from anywhere on the map according to his targeting priority (so he will target the first Bloon if set to First, strongest Bloon if set to Strong, etc) and fires a shower of arrows centered on the target, which has a radius of 50 units and lasts for 1 second. Despite appearing to rain multiple arrows, the storm is actually one giant projectile that hits each Bloon inside it every 0.05 seconds, dealing 15 plasma-type damage per hit and +15 to MOAB-Class Bloons. It has a 60-second cooldown and no initial cooldown.

6 Shoots 2 arrows at a time.
7 Fires EMP arrows every 3rd shot that explode with plasma damage.
8 Arrows do 3 damage to MOAB class bloons.
9 Base attack bounces to up to 9 targets.
10 Cyber Storm: A concentrated surge of cyber arrows rains down from above, dealing 2x damage to MOABs.
11 Arrows do increased damage.
12 Each arrow gets +1 pierce
13 Small range increase.
14 Arrows do more damage to MOAB class bloons. Cyberstorm[sic] deals more damage per hit.
15 Cyber Shot gains an extra 15 pierce and cooldown is reduced.
16 Arrows do increased damage.
17 Arrows last 25% longer, fires exploding arrows every 2nd shot.
18 Cyber Quincy attacks faster and Cyber Storm has reduced cooldown and more damaging arrows.
19 Shoots 3 arrows at a time, each with more popping power.
20 Cyber Storm deals significantly more damage per arrow and 3x as much to MOABs.

Cyber Quincy is better at group-popping than normal Quincy, however he's somewhat less reliable against single and spaced rushes and has a minor Purple weakness (neither his EMPs nor Cyber Storm affect them). Later on, he catches up his weak single-target and excels at demolishing large clumps of MOAB-class Bloons with his abilities active. Cyber Storm is better against Tight MOAB-class rushes than Tight Ceramic rushes, due to its shorter lifespan and tighter area but much higher damage overall, however Cyber Storm can naturally beat Tight Leads. He's a better choice than normal Quincy if concerned about grouped rushes, with Cyber Shot having longer lifespan and significantly more overall DPS against groups than Quincy's Rapid Shot. Also, because his arrows ignore obstacles, he excels early-game on maps with intrusive obstacles (e.g. Banana Depot) compared to other Heroes.

We are changing up Cyber Quincy's abilities somewhat to help distinguish him from Quincy.
