Ice Shards is the Ice Monkey's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It adds a status effect to Bloons it freezes that soaks through 3 layers (including White and Zebra Bloons) which triggers 5 shards of ice when popping affected Bloons (including with Snap Freeze damage). The status effect lasts 0.57 seconds shorter than the freeze. The shards deal 1 damage with 1 pierce, 72° apart. The shards have the piercing damage type, which does not pop Frozen nor Lead bloons (Fire on the Flash version which does not pop Lead bloons).
