In decks that run a lot of Bloontonium generation, this is a cheap removal option for weak Bloons with special gimmicks, such as Toxic Bloons, Buddy Bloons, Steady Growth Bloons, Blooming Bloons, and weaker Double Attack Bloons. It can also finish off stronger Bloons after chipping them with other damage sources like Mass Detonation.
Overload costs the same as Quincy's Arrow Shot but does more than 3x damage to a weakened Bloon. Overload is only useful to add in a deck versus mirror aggro to finish off a powerful Bloon, such as partially damaged Double Yellow Bloons.
Overload is also a good option against bloons with armored, especially Lead Coating Bloon.
On Dark Castle, a Bloon that would have 100 HP elsewhere will need some damage first before Overload can target it.
