Hydra Rocket Pods is the Dartling Gun's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. Instead of darts, the tower fire missiles that have 1 pierce when fired, each creating explosions when hitting bloons that pop all bloon types with 40 pierce and a 60 unit radius.

In the multiplatform version of Bloons Monkey City, Hydra Rocket Pods is affected by a bug which increases the amount of explosions made per pierce increase added to the rockets.

Strategy

Hydra Rocket Pods is a much better upgrade in the mobile version compared to the Flash version due to the aforementioned Monkey Fort projectile duplication bug, which allows it to effortlessly handle large bloon cluster rounds on its own, and with Bloons Monkey City's reduced MOAB health, can also eliminate hordes of lower tier MOAB-Class Bloons. This scales into the Bloon Area Denial System well and functions as a win condition for tile captures.

Without the bug, it is simply overpriced in both it's research and in game cost. For early cities, other small Bloon cleanup towers perform its function better, such as Dart Storm or Glaive Ricochet without bankrupting the city in cash.
