Bionic Boomer is the Boomerang Thrower's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. Despite what its description says, this tower attacks with more than triple the speed as the previous upgrade. Glaive Thrower improves its attack speed further.

Bionic Boomer is a solid DPS carry and is a worthwhile upgrade to unlock early in a city. It has consistent attack speed suited especially well around curves. It is more consistent against spaced out Bloons and fast Bloons such as Yellows and Pinks compared to Glaive Ricochet.

Crosspaths are important, as Glaive Thrower gives a substantial speed and pierce boost. However, an uncrosspathed Bionic Boomerang is okay if wanting to immediately get the speed boost and pierce isn't much of a concern.
