Esoteric Elementalist is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. It gives additional effects to the projectiles of Wizard Monkeys, although they aren't guaranteed to happen, but the chances increase with the rarity of the Artifact. The possible effects are:
Push back the Bloons along the track 50 units (25 for Ceramics and cannot affect MOAB-Class Bloons).
Set the Bloons on fire, which inflicts a damage over time effect of 1, 3 or 9 damage every 1.5 seconds and during 4.6s, despite what the description says.
Freeze Bloons for 1s, except MOAB-Class Bloons.
Multiple effects can be applied to the same Bloon at the same time, and if they are affected by both Freeze and Blowback, they will remain on place Frozen for 1s and after that, the Blowback applies. The effects only apply after the Bloon is damaged by the projectile, for example, Purple Bloons are immune to all effects if they are hit by a magic bolt, fireball or touches a wall of fire, but can be affected if hit by a Zombie Bloon or if Ceramic or Rainbow Bloon that is reduced to a Zebra or White Bloon, it can be affected by the Freeze.
This Artifact also adds a 1-0-1 / 2-0-1 / 2-0-0 Wizard Monkey to the Party. Silas starts with the Rare version.
This Artifact provides a lot of utility to Wizard Monkeys in the early game, allowing them to stall and increasing their damage output in order to save up for the tier 3 and 4 upgrades to handle the MOAB-Class Bloons when they start appearing. This Artifact can also help on reducing the drawback of Pure Damage by using the push back and freeze effect to slow down the smaller Bloons.
With Fusty the Snowman specifically, players can upgrade the starting 0-2-0 Mermonkey into Alluring Melody which accelerates the DoT effect, this synergy can be further improved with the Confuddling Spelling Artifact, allowing the Wizard Monkey to inflict greater damage while the Bloons are tranced.
