Bloons TD 6 for home consoles (also called Bloons TD 6 Console to distinguish it from other versions[2]) is a port of the PC version of Bloons TD 6. It first released on Xbox One in 2023, then PlayStation 4 in 2024, and is expected to release on Nintendo Switch in 2026. Through backwards compatibility, the Xbox One version is also playable on Xbox Series X and Series S and the PS4 version is playable on PlayStation 5. This version features local Co-op and changes to the interface and controls to make the game playable on a gamepad. It is based on version 32.0, but the PS4 version has some additional maps and cosmetic items backported from later updates.
Differences from the PC version
This game is based on version 32.0 and does not include any of the fixes made in version 32.1, version 32.2, or version 32.3. Compared to 32.0 on the PC version, this version has the following differences:
- There is no cross-compatibility with other versions of BTD6. Save data, leaderboards, online play, and accounts are all separate.
- This version features local Co-op play, in addition to online Co-op. Local Co-op earns singleplayer medals instead of the Co-op variants. There is a unique user interface where each player can select the Hero they want to use for the game.[3]
- This version uses its own event rotation, consisting of reused events from the main branch of BTD6. The Xbox One and PS4 versions share event leaderboards.[4]
- All maps are rendered at a 16:9 aspect ratio and have tweaks to fill in the extra space (usually increasing the amount of placeable area and increasing the length of paths that enter and/or exit on the left and/or right sides). The play area is 356 units wide instead of 232 units.
- Teams and Contested Territory are inaccessible.
Controls
- The player's free cursor (left stick by default) can move to anywhere on the map. The player can use the scroll cursor (right stick by default) to navigate the side panel to select towers, abilities, powers, emotes, Geraldo's Shop, and Co-op options without moving the free cursor. The movement of the free cursor is tied to the game's frame rate.[3]
- There are ten hotkeys for ability buttons. The first two are mapped to two of the face buttons, while the remaining 8 are mapped to a combination of one of the triggers and one of the face buttons. The player cannot activate them with the free cursor.
- Selecting a tower displays a ring of options around it instead of opening a side panel. To purchase an upgrade, the player has to point at the upgrade with the free cursor and press the confirm button.

Differences between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions
- The PlayStation 4 version has some additional content from later updates of other versions, despite being based on version 32.0. this update was supposed to release for the Xbox One version as well,[2] but it never came out.
- The Challenge Browser in the PS4 version can play challenges made on either console, but the Xbox One version cannot play challenges made on the PS4 version.[4]
- Tower and upgrade descriptions in the Xbox One version are taken from version 44.0, even though the game uses version 32.0's balancing. As such, some descriptions in this version are anachronistic; for example, Monkey Sense's description mentions that it increases range, even though it did not have that effect until version 35.0. The PS4 version uses the descriptions from 32.0.[4]
- On the PS4 version, the free cursor is also controllable with the touchpad on DualShock controllers.[4] There is also a new slider in the options menu to adjust the movement speed of the free cursor when controlling it with a stick.
