Bloon Trap is the Monkey Engineer's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It allows the Engineer to place down a Bloon Trap on the Track, absorbing up to 250 RBE of Bloons, and providing double the income per pop when the trap is full and collected by clicking or tapping it. On the mobile version of Bloons Monkey City, the trap ignores the reduced cash per pop of later rounds. Traps only spawn after Bloons enter the range of the Engineer.

Strategy

Bloon Trap can be an effective farming option in early rounds in the absence of Banana Farms, especially the mobile version due to its lack of cash per pop reduction. However, the trap's income generation and defense can be inconsistent, and its sentries are actively harmful for income. Selling sentries are necessary to allow the trap to fill up quicker, and the Engineer should be placed with little track coverage for more consistent trap placements.
