Distraction is the Ninja Monkey's path 2 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It provides a 10% chance (15% on the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City) to distract any Bloons damaged by the Ninja's weapons.

Strategy

Distraction can help control Bloons by moving them away so defenses can focus on other Bloons first, especially if it successfully triggers on a Ceramic. Its distraction chance is low, so getting it as a crosspath to the first-path upgrades are important, and is especially reliable with Bloonjitsu. However, it is not always an advantage to purchase this upgrade as the distraction allows time for Regrow Bloons to regrow when placed improperly, making the Ninja's low pierce stat even more obvious.
