Banana Plantation is the Banana Farm's path 1 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It increases the number of bananas the Banana Farm generates per round from 3 to 7 (from 6 to 13 in the Flash version) effectively increasing the amount of cash it generates per round from $120 to $280 ($180 to $390 in the Flash version). When crosspathed with Monkey Bank or Banana Investments Advisory, it increases the number of cash packets generated per round by 14, effectively increasing the cash generated per round by $140. Monkey Knowledge increases the amount of bananas per round by up to 3, each from Ranks 3, 8, and 13.

Banana Plantation is an efficient income generator when bought very early but risky on round 1 even with a high level city. Getting straight to Plantation is often better to snowball income early than two More Bananas, especially with MK that increases Plantation's bananas.
At higher city levels, the player can begin with one Plantation and cheap defense on Round 1 and the cash flow may catch up for later rounds in addition to extra burst of cash after selling it. Buying Village before Farm will only save more money with high enough sellback via MK.
