Viral Frost's contact freezing is simply not worth the price in most scenarios. On the multiplatform version of Bloons TD 5, the inability for Ice Towers to re-freeze completely neuters any viability and still lets Bloons leak, and is not an upgrade compared to even its predecessor, the Arctic Wind. On the Flash version, it has a minor niche in preventing Bloons from reaching a certain point on the path entirely even when the radial freeze attack is on cooldown, though it is overpriced at this job and requires popping MOABs before they reach the point. It combos well with MOAB-SHREDR Spikes which allows it to save spikes solely for MOAB-Class Bloons.
As Viral Frost is the most expensive Ice Tower, it is the most space-efficient per dollar for Temple of the Monkey God sacrifices.
