Insider Trading is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. It was introduced in version 55.0, then became unobtainable in version 55.1, then became fully available in version 56.0. It reduces the Artifact Power cost of Artifacts the player purchases from a Merchant by 1. It only discounts the first few Artifacts the player purchases after obtaining this Artifact, the amount depending on the rarity, and does not discount the items for Monkey Money or Rogue XP. While not mentioned in the description, the Legendary version is worth double the Artifact Power when sold to Merchants.

Development
This Artifact was not supposed to release in version 55.0, as it was unfinished, but the developers forgot to remove it from Gentlemonkey Gadgeteer's starting party before release.[1] In this version, it was not obtainable through any means other than Gentlemonkey Gadgeteer's starting party, and starting a run with this Artifact would crash the game (making extracting it impossible, by extension).
Version 55.1 reverted Gentlemonkey Gadgeteer's starting party to how it was prior to version 55.0, effectively making the Artifact unobtainable. Version 56.0 fixed the crash bug and made it obtainable through normal means. This update also changed its effects slightly and added Common and Rare variants of it, but did not add any variant of it back to Gentlemonkey Gadgeteer's starting party for unknown reasons.
