Banana Republic is the Banana Farm's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It increases the number of bananas the Banana Farm generates per round from 7 to 13 (from 13 to 25 in the Flash version), effectively increasing the amount of cash it generates per round from $280 to $520 (from $390 to $750 in the Flash version).

Strategy

[edit | edit source]

Banana Republic is not as cost-efficient as Banana Plantations but can be used directly in the absence of adequate space for farms on the map (such as Totems having only two farm spaces) or as a stepping stone to Banana Research Facility. After buying roughly 4-6 Plantations, upgrade one Plantation to Republic, or a few more Plantations to Republics on limited land maps, and then sell enough Farms for the BRF once cash value of the Farms can afford it.

Crosspathing is not recommended as a Valuable Bananas Plantation is far less efficient than an uncrosspathed Banana Plantation due to the insane cost of Valuable Bananas, and Long Life Bananas is purely quality of life and doesn't improve the output of the farm.
