Welcome to the featured article nominations board. Here, you can nominate a wiki article worthy of being featured on the main page. Featured articles will be displayed on the main page on a rotation once there are enough featured articles to rotate between. To submit a nomination, write the title of the article in the box below and clicking "begin proposal". If a nomination with that title already exists, write a "/" and then a number at the end. For example, if a nomination for "Quincy" already exists, write "Quincy/2" instead, or "Quincy/3" if that already exists, and so on.

Voting process

This process applies to both featuring and unfeaturing articles.

  • Only autoconfirmed users can submit, vote on, and comment on nominations.
  • When a nomination is made, users have two weeks to cast their votes and comments, ending at midnight UTC. If a nomination starts on 4 June 2026 at 01:51 UTC, then it ends on 18 June 2026 at 23:59 UTC.
  • Unlike proposals, where deadlines determine the final vote count, the deadline for a nomination is a time limit for it to pass. A nomination passes if it has at least three supporting votes and no opposing votes for three days (72 hours) straight.
  • Editors are allowed to edit articles while a nomination is active to address issues raised in the comments or by opposing voters. Opposing voters are expected to change their votes once someone addresses their concerns with the article.
  • Administrators reserve the right to cancel a nomination or remove a vote at any time if it is poorly justified or made in bad faith.
  • Once a nomination passes or fails, the article cannot be nominated again (for featuring or unfeaturing) until at least two weeks (336 hours) have passed.

Featured article guidelines

To be worthy of being featured on the main page, an article must:

  • Have reasonably good writing and few to no spelling or grammar mistakes. The writing needs to follow the style guide and any other relevant guidelines (such as the strategy guidelines for strategy articles/sections).
  • Not have any obvious gaps in information. A featured article is expected to cover the subject as thoroughly as possible.
    • Some leniency is permitted for information that is difficult or impossible to find due to the passage of time, such as past events or updates to older games.
  • Be of decent length, even without information transcluded from other pages (using Cargo or LST), to show that the article has enough original work put into it. The absolute bare minimum is 5,000 bytes.
    • While not factored into the size requirement, transcluded sections are still expected to have complete information and adhere to relevant writing and formatting guidelines.
  • Not have any notice templates ({{stub}}, {{future}}, {{screenshot needed}}, etc).
  • Have an appropriate amount of images to illustrate the subject. Depending on the article, the appropriate amount can range from one (for levels, items, etc) to dozens (for characters, game mechanics, etc).
  • Have few, if any, red links.
  • Have properly cited sources for information that is difficult or time-consuming to verify independently.
  • Have appropriately formatted navigation boxes and categories.

Note that because of these qualifications, not every article has the potential to be featured. Some articles are naturally going to be too short to be featured, even if they are complete.

Voting guidelines

You can add a vote to a nomination by adding a line under its heading beginning with #, followed by your reasoning, then your signature (without the timestamp). An example of this in wikitext looks like:

# Per proposal. ~~~

# formats your vote as part of a numbered list. When the page is saved, ~~~ is automatically replaced with your signature.

  • All votes must give a clear reason for why you agree or disagree with a nomination. You can also say "per the nomination" or "per <user>" to agree with an existing reason.
  • You cannot vote to both support and oppose a nomination at the same time. Your votes will be removed if you do so.
  • You can change your vote at any time, but you must explain why you changed your vote and you must cross out your previous vote (with <s></s>).
  • The creator of a nomination cannot vote on their own nominations.
