Strategy: opinion softened a bit on flash.
Strategy: yeah I just straight up underestimated this thing on flash. it doesn't belong in the same category as glaive ricochet, this can cleanup ceramics and even some weaker moab clusters.

Hydra Rocket Pods is the Dartling Gun's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. Instead of darts, the tower fire missiles that have 1 pierce when fired, each creating explosions when hitting bloons that pop all bloon types with 40 pierce and a 60 unit radius.

In the multiplatform version of Bloons Monkey City, Hydra Rocket Pods is affected by a bug which increases the amount of explosions made per pierce increase added to the rockets.

Hydra Rocket Pods is a much better upgrade in the multiplatform version compared to the Flash version due to the aforementioned pierce-based explosion duplication bug, which allows it to effortlessly handle large Bloon cluster rounds on its own, and with Bloons Monkey City's reduced MOAB health, can also eliminate hordes of lower tier MOAB-Class Bloons. This scales into the Bloon Area Denial System well and functions as a win condition for tile captures. To increase its explosions per missile, get Hydra near Monkey Fort, as well as investing in Dartling's pierce MK (Ranks 3, 8, 13).

Without the bug, it is slightly overpriced in both its research and in-game cost, but can still be useful on Monkey Teams with Dartling for proper ceramic cleanup and packed MOAB-Class Bloons. This upgrade requires heavy aiming and proper positioning to ensure the explosion hits the correct target.

It is always recommended to buy Faster Barrel Spin to maximize the amount of rockets fired.
