Summon Phoenix, much like its predecessor, [[Dragon's Breath (BMC)|Dragon's Breath]], is overpriced for how useful it can be. The editor who added this notice elaborates: Confirm viability in Flash and Multiplatform

Summon Phoenix, much like its predecessor, Dragon's Breath, is overpriced for the amount of DPS it can provide. Its global range effect can be decent for reaching places around the whole track and for single-target damage, but its pierce is not high and thus can still be overwhelmed easily by dense Ceramic rushes.

In the Flash version, selling and rebuying the Phoenix upgrade to trigger many abilities at once can be useful to boost single-target damage, but is not strong because cash often runs low on the Flash version.

The multiplatform version of Summon Phoenix is somewhat useful but requires keeping the Phoenix and spamming the ability off cooldown with Energy Beacon nearby. With enough MK, the Phoenix can have close to or more than 100% uptime; Rank 10 Apprentice gets it close, while Rank 15 Apprentice plus the Ability Cooldown MK benefits can let the Phoenix spawn rate surpass the cooldown. Without Energy Beacon, Phoenix is worse than many other options but not all of them, though the often better cash generation in late rounds make Phoenix not bad.
