Spectre is the Monkey Ace's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 5.
It replaces the seeking darts from Neva-Miss Targeting with a new attack that rapidly fires a stream of projectiles at targeted Bloons, alternating between shooting darts and bombs. It aims at the closest Bloons to the aircraft, but its shots do not have seeking properties. Its darts deal 1 damage to up to 50 Bloons, but cannot damage Lead Bloons or frozen Bloons, while its bombs' explosions deal 2 damage, can pop any Bloon type, and can hit up to 100 Bloons.

On the Bloons TD 5, due to an error, pierce buffs like the Monkey Fort will allow the bombs to explode twice. On the Bloons TD 5, instead a different error allows this tower to attack once every frame provided enough attack speed buffs from Ace Private Hangar and Jungle Drums are given.

The Spectre is simply too expensive to justify running on either version, as its role in heavy ceramic cleanup is effectively outclassed by cheaper alternatives like Ice Shards, Bloon Impact on the flash version or Bloon Dissolver on the mobile version. Its advantage over other alternatives is the global range it has, which can be effective on tougher maps where all other options are suboptimal.
On the mobile version, due to the sub-projectile duplication bug it stands much more of a chance in the late game as it can damage grouped MOABs enough by itself, but struggles to do enough damage to BFBs and above.
Crosspathing is redundant unless Camo detection is required, as the exploding pineapples do not contribute meaningfully to its overall DPS.
