→Strategy: probably shouldn't say "better" cause removing regen is better than slowing regen down.

Signal Flare is the Mortar Monkey's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It gains Camo detection and each shot now removes Camo properties from any Bloon hit in its blast. With Ranks 3, 8, and 13 Monkey Knowledge for the Mortar Monkey, each shot removes Regrow properties from only Regrow Bloons (3, 4, 5, respectively) within the blast, and Bigger Blast increases the radius for this separate attack.

This tower's decamo ability is inconsistent and lacking, especially on the multiplatform version where it has a weaker blast radius and is afflicted by a bug that prevents the radius from improving with upgrades. As a result, it should instead be used to counter Camo Lead Bloons with Camo detectors that have Lead weaknesses. It is cheaper than 2-2 Lightning Bolt. However, Signal Flare offers little else besides camo-detecting Burny Stuff.

With Monkey Knowledge, the ability to de-regrow is available, but is hampered by its lack of pierce, only managing to de-regrow a few Bloons at a time. Ironically, the prior upgrade Burny Stuff does a sufficient job at managing Regrow Bloons, due to the damage over time effect counteracting the regeneration just enough for otherwise frail defenses to combat rushes.

Like Burny Stuff, Signal Flare benefits from Increased Accuracy, but in the multiplatform version Bigger Blast is useless due to the bug that prevents the damaging explosion or the decamo blast from improving blast radius.

Trivia
*Signal Flare is the face of the Rare Monkey Knowledge card for the Mortar Monkey in the Flash version.
