Armored is an Exotic Power card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. When played, Dreadbloon gains 10 Armor, with an extra +5 per Phase (total of 15 Armor on Phase 1, 20 Armor on Phase 2, 25 Armor on Phase 3, or 30 Armor on Phase 4). This card is exclusive to Dreadbloon and is not in the Collection.
When played, Dreadbloon shakes and gains a thick clay layer on its body (if it doesn't have it already), similarly to the card artwork. The layer disappears if its Armor is removed.
Tips
[edit | edit source]This section was last updated for: version 6.2
- Dreadbloon's Armor slightly reduces chip damage, especially from direct hits via Monkeys. It also punishes players who only rely on weak bloon spam or low ATK 1-delay Monkeys.
- If doing an aggro strategy and wanting to maximize score, send weak bloons early, avoid slow cheap bloons (e.g. Red Bloon), and use single-target HP-boosters (e.g. Fortify, Booster Bloon, Improved Fortification).
- Use Armor-Piercing Monkeys such as Bomb Shooter to break open Dreadbloon's Armor. However, mind that Rock Bloons must be popped before any Monkey can target Dreadbloon.
- Lead to Gold Monkey can generate extra income from Dreadbloon's Armor, making it helpful for affording a little more during a round.
- In game rules involving damage to Heroes per turn, Armored can help stall rounds, so Dreadbloon won't be killed too soon before the next Phase, which may contain skull effects that cripple the defense.
