Distraction Ninja is a Magic Monkey card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 6.0. It detects Camo Bloons, and the target has 50% chance to increase its delay by 1 each time that this Monkey attacks.
The card artwork depicts a Distraction Ninja standing on a car to throw a shuriken at a Green Bloon, pushing that Bloon backwards. The location is at a street, away from the main city, during dawn.
Tips
[edit | edit source]This section was last updated for: version 6.2
- Distraction Ninja is the cheapest monkey that can increase the delay of enemy Bloons, with the tradeoff of its effect being random and it having very low DPT for its cost.
- Distraction Ninja can be unreliable with its delay increasing effect, but can also be very strong if luck favors the user. Only include Distraction Ninja in a deck if the deck can afford the possibility of it sometimes not increasing delay at all.
- Try This! and other ammo-boosting cards give more chances for the delay increase effect to activate. Ezili's Totem can also be used to give Distraction Ninja more chances to increase delay.
- Distraction Ninja notably does enough damage to pop a Blooming Bloon buffed by only Amelia's Bloon Shield, except on Dark Castle, and always versus Zee Jay if no other health buffs are added. This usage is not recommended unless desperate to pop it versus aggro and no better options exist.
- Buffing Distraction Ninja with Shinobi Tactics Ninja can offset its low DPT, but its high reload makes the buff given worse on this than other Ninja Monkeys.

Development
[edit | edit source]Instead of reworking the Distraction mechanics or ammo vs delay, Version 6.2 community playtesters opted to buff Distraction's ATK on the basis that it accounts for the delay increase not triggering on Bloons, which community playtesters found the mechanics annoying to use.[1][2]
