Final Boss is a type of tile in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. The objective is to defeat a Boss Bloon in a manner similar to Boss Challenge without Battle Mode. The Final Boss is always the final battle of each stage, and the player is required to defeat it to progress to the next stage. The player wins the campaign after defeating the Final Boss of stage 4. The Final Boss of each stage is random, but the same boss will never appear more than once in a single campaign (except in CHIMPS mode, where the bosses on stages 8 and up will cycle in the same order as the first seven stages of that campaign).
Mechanics
The boss uses the Normal version on stage 1 and Elite on stages 2 and up, and the boss's tier is the same as the stage number. In CHIMPS mode, the boss is always at tier 5 on stages 5 and up. Bloonarius, Lych, and Diamondback use their Normal mode Bloon spawns even in Elite mode. If the player successfully pops the boss, the game ends immediately after the boss's death animation even if there are still Bloons on-screen.
Defeating the boss rewards the player with a choice between a Legendary Artifact unique to the boss (replaced by another random Legendary Artifact if the player already has it) or tier 5 Insta Monkeys and allows them to extract one Artifact to use as a starting Artifact in future campaigns. The player loses if they fail to reach the final round, the boss escapes, or the player runs out of lives. Losing the battle or restarting after starting the first round costs one heart.
The battle uses the default Rogue Legends rounds and the boss spawns immediately upon starting the first round. On stage 1, the battle starts on round 10 and ends on round 50. The start and end round increase by 5 on each successive stage (e.g., stage 2 uses rounds 15–55, stage 3 uses rounds 20–60, and so on). The player earns a Boost and their Insta Monkeys recharge one round each time they reach a skull on the boss's health bar; they do not earn these by completing rounds.
The boss's movement speed is reduced, though the amount depends on the type of boss. The speed and health of other Bloons depends on the difficulty of the current stage. The player's starting cash is determined by the below formula. In CHIMPS mode, the player starts with 15% less cash.
Boss stats
The health of each boss starts with a specific value on stage 1 and increases by 3× its starting health on each stage after.
