Extra Range Tack Shooter is a PrimaryMonkeycard in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 6.0. It is a defender that gains +5 ATK during the opponent's turn, and another +20 ATK via the Defender bonus if the player ended their turn with zero gold.
The card artwork depicts an Extra Range Tack Shooter shooting tacks that fly across a globe that resembles a simplification of earth. The globe features skyscrapers, pyramids, mountains, a volcano, and multiple Bloons of different colors (Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow).
Compared to the normal Tack Shooter, Extra Range Tack Shooter costs 1 Gold more for 10 extra ATK when not using Defender, but more Defender if the player has no Gold. Make sure to spend all of your Gold if enemy Bloons are attacking, as without the Zero Gold bonus it only has 5 more ATK as Defender.
Extra Range Tack Shooter is often outclassed by Tack Sprayer due to its higher burst damage and less conditional requirement. Extra Range Tack Shooter can function in decks that are meant to deal with Aggro strategies.
The Zero Gold condition's defender bonus can pop a Blooming Bloon with Passive Awesomeness from Zee Jay or Bloon Shield from Amelia, even on Dark Castle.
Extra Range Tack Shooter received buffs during playtesting of Version 6.2, since it was deemed a slightly weaker option that relied too heavily on the Zero Gold benefit to suit anti-aggro.[1] The added +5 ATK made it more suitable for anti-aggro; it notably made its Defender able to one-shot an unbuffed Blooming Bloon, and the Zero Gold benefit allows it to one-shot things like an Amelia-buffed Blooming Bloon, a Pink Bloon buffed by Zee Jay, and better deal with other common aggro Bloons.[1]
