A keyword is a term in Bloons Card Storm that describes mechanics of a card, Hero Ability, or Striker's Adventure item. While not explicitly stated in-game, most keywords are either an effect of a card in and of itself or a condition under which an effect of the card triggers. The player can see a card's keywords when viewing a card in the Card Collection and during a match when the card is highlighted. For Monkey and Bloon cards, most keywords display their icons next to them during a match.
Some cards have keywords written in their card text, but they do not display those keywords' icons or descriptions. Some card descriptions use phrases such as "During your Turn", "During Opponent's Turn", and "When an opponent draws a Card" like keywords, but they are not keywords and have no icons or descriptions. Some keywords are confirmed by Ninja Kiwi but are not yet added into the game.

Per Gold Spent
[edit | edit source]Per Gold Spent[1] is a keyword that describes effects that depend on the Gold spent to play the card. When played, the cost of the card changes depending on the current Gold.
This keyword is not shown in-game. It affects certain Monkeys and Bloons.
